ui/packages/app-shell/src/utils/auditHistoryDisplay.ts, formatScalar(), formats by field type for boolean, date/datetime, option-bearing fields and lookups only. There is no branch for currency, number or percent, so those values fall through to String(value). The file's own header lists "format values by field type" as step 3. The fix is to route numeric types through the same formatter the field renderer uses (currency code and scale from the field definition, and the viewer's locale).
