Filing gate ③: a finding from the contract review of #25155 (#25133, ruling 6328987873). The review recorded it as B2 in 6331012625. It does not block that PR.

#25155 refuses a production os serve / os start that composes no organization object in the two compositions the ruling names:

  • the auth tier is off and no AuthPlugin is mounted;
  • the tier is on and no secret is resolved (no-secret).

A third composition reaches the same state and is not refused. The auth tier is on and a secret is set, but @objectstack/plugin-auth fails to load (a missing or broken install). In that case serve.ts:4573-4579 (at 6531b332) warns and boots with no AuthPlugin, so no organization object is registered. The engine then takes no-organization-object, and the boot's writes land with no organization. Those writes go to:

  • 18.0.0-born stores, nullable columns and MongoDB, where the rows are stored ownerless;
  • fresh SQL tables, where they are refused at NOT NULL.

The behaviour predates #25155. It sits outside the ruling's two named cases.
