📚 Description

A Nuxt 5 nightly build skips @nuxtjs/robots with only a warning:

[NUXT_B8013] Module @nuxtjs/robots is disabled due to incompatibility issues:
 - [nuxt] Nuxt version ^4.6.0 || ^5.0.0 is required but currently using 5.0.0-2610061032-c7ad8cd

The Nuxt 5 nightly @nuxt/kit does not strip the nightly suffix before the range check. The version stays a 5.0.0 prerelease, which sorts below 5.0.0, so ^5.0.0 rejects it.

meta.compatibility.nuxt is now ^4.6.0 || ^5.0.0-0. It accepts Nuxt 5 prereleases and nightlies, and still rejects Nuxt 6 and Nuxt versions below the floor. The Nuxt 5 fixture no longer patches meta.compatibility. It now installs the nuxt-site-config and nuxtseo-shared previews that carry the same fix.

🤖 AI disclosure: Harlan Agent Kit modified this description. My AI open-source policy.

Nuxt 5 nightly kits keep the nightly suffix, so 5.0.0-<stamp>-<sha> is a prerelease that ^5.0.0 rejects, and Nuxt skips the module with only a warning. ^5.0.0-0 admits it and still rejects Nuxt 6 and Nuxt versions below the floor.

  • Logged (30/100): Runtime compatibility range now accepts Nuxt 5 nightlies but the npm peer dependency range still rejects them. View code Optional follow-up: Align package.json peerDependencies.nuxt with the runtime range (^4.6.0 || ^5.0.0-0) or explicitly document that nightly entrypoints carry a peer resolution warning.

  • Logged (20/100): The published skill file and v7 release notes still document Nuxt support as stable-only after the compatibility range was widened. View code Optional follow-up: Update SKILL.md and the v7 release note to mention Nuxt 5.0.0 prerelease support so the published docs match meta.compatibility.

  • Compare the same app with and without the module.
  • Client: all emitted JS/CSS, summed per-file gzip. This includes lazy chunks.
  • Server: deployed files, including external dependencies. Source maps are excluded.
  • Default module settings, Node server preset. Memory and request speed are outside this report.
