Resolves: n/a (follow-up to #392)

Tests for the typed commands added in #392: the concepts, makeCommandInfo taking id, schemas, decoration and availabilities from the struct, string-encoded values as they arrive from a CommandQuery, and the rejection paths (missing required parameter, wrong type for a required and for an optional parameter, unknown enum value). Ported from #346.

Walkthrough

The changes add tests for typed-command concept support and generated command metadata. They also test parsing string-encoded boolean, integer, double, and enum values; rejection of missing or invalid values; and enum-to-string and string-to-enum conversions.

Priority: Low

Merge Risk: Minimal · previous review cb6ae

Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Test the declared integer bounds.

TestCommand::iVal declares a range of −100 to 100, but this rejection test checks only a nonnumeric string. Add cases at the bounds and just outside them. At this revision, fromInputParams converts the value without checking the declared minimum or maximum, so an out-of-range test will expose a validation gap that needs an implementation fix. Based on learnings, parameter-validation tests should include invalid and out-of-range inputs. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
