…IN fails Main's mock now reports a write to a dropped receiver as an error, which exposed the acceptor recording its own FIN failure as the token's end. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Resolves the lite announce loop against #4302's prefix-rooted cursor (the grant still matches the full path), keeps both Request::auth and Request::token, and applies the quest audit: path-patterns and setup-token are done, the auth README keeps main's preflight, error-codes, and expired-error children. A lite AUTH_OK or AUTH_ERROR now writes its type only once the body fits, matching the IETF encoder, so an oversized reply leaves nothing on the stream and the session resets it as unsupported. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

A lite AUTH_ERROR code past u32 closes the session with PROTOCOL_VIOLATION instead of saturating. JS AuthSession.close() recomputes the union, and a JS presenter closes its side when the acceptor FINs. A dropped serve task settles Issued::closed with the session's error. Apply listen extensions to relay WebSocket sessions
When moq-relay serves its Axum WebSocket route, this new [listen.extensions] value never reaches the session: rs/moq-relay/src/websocket.rs:190 still constructs moq_net::Server::new() without with_extensions, while only the moq-tokio server receives this field. Consequently, setting auth = false or solicit = false works for the other listeners but WebSocket sessions silently advertise the default extensions; thread the setting through WebState/SessionInputs, or refuse this configuration when WebSocket serving is enabled.

Fixed in 4d59db5: the relay forwards [listen.extensions] to Web, which hands it to each WebSocket session's moq_net::Server. The io_uring workers are lite-only, where the setting does not apply.

Reviewed the full current PR at c4d27d2.
One actionable P2, already reported in the existing WebSocket finding: rs/moq-tokio/src/listen.rs:149-152 exposes the extension settings, but rs/moq-relay/src/websocket.rs:190 constructs a default server. I independently verified that WebSocket sessions still offer extensions disabled in [listen.extensions]. Prefer forwarding the same settings to that server; rejecting unsupported non-default settings is a smaller safe alternative. No duplicate inline comment added.
Direction: a single default-on extensions value is a focused, extensible alternative to separate negative builder methods. The separate local Solicit declaration and bilateral AUTH negotiation are justified. I found no additional actionable bugs in the current diff.
Verification: source and regression-test inspection through GitHub only; I did not run tests or interop checks.

WalkthroughJavaScript and Rust connection APIs now let callers configure MoQ Auth and Solicit offers. Both extensions default to enabled. SETUP negotiation and session handling apply the configured offers, and added tests cover declined extensions and related Auth and announcement behavior. Estimated code review effort Priority: ➖ Normal Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to Clarify where extension opt-out is available so users do not rely on an unsupported connection path. The axum WebSocket route built its own server and ignored [listen.extensions], so a declined extension was still offered there. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Reviewed 4d59db5 against my previous review at c4d27d2; the base is unchanged.
The prior WebSocket configuration P2 is fixed in source: Relay::load now passes listen.extensions into Web, the router supplies it to serve_ws, and handle_socket applies it with Server::with_extensions. No new actionable bugs found in this delta or the surrounding route setup.
Direction: forwarding the existing value through the existing router extension mechanism is a focused fix with little added complexity; a separate WebSocket-specific setting is unnecessary.
Verification: GitHub source inspection only. I did not run tests or an end-to-end WebSocket handshake; the changed WebSocket tests still use default extensions, so they do not directly exercise this non-default configuration path.

Document the relay extension settings
Add [listen.extensions] to the relay configuration reference, including its auth and solicit fields and defaults. This field is #[usage(skip)], so operators cannot discover it through moq-relay --help, while doc/bin/relay/config.md currently claims every configuration key is available there and contains no usable example of this new TOML-only setting. Fixed in d54698a: doc/bin/relay/config.md shows a [listen.extensions] block with both fields and their defaults, and the intro now says it is TOML only.

Document the outbound extension settings
connect.extensions is also a new TOML-only knob: the connect config hides it from Usage and forwards it to moq_net::Client, but this introduction names only listen.extensions as TOML-only and the [connect] reference omits both extension fields. Operators therefore cannot discover how to decline Auth or Solicit on outbound cluster sessions from either --help or this reference. Document [connect.extensions] and include it among the TOML-only exceptions. (Written by GPT-5.6 Sol)

Implements
quest/m1/auth/extensions(planned in #5104), carved out of #4675 by @ksletmoe-aws so it lands before the request-token work. Every commit credits Kyle as co-author.Summary
A side declares which moq-transport Setup extensions it offers with one positive
#[non_exhaustive] setup::Extensions { auth, solicit }, all on by default. This follows the 2026-10-01 Q2 ruling on #4675: it replaceswithout_*methods and folds in the privaterun_setupchoices. Later extensions join the same struct.Client::with_extensions,Server::with_extensions. A declined extension stays out of SETUP. AUTH is negotiated only when both sides offer it, and an inbound AUTH to a side that did not offer it closes the session with PROTOCOL_VIOLATION. A side that declined Solicit accepts an unsolicited PUBLISH_NAMESPACE.extensionsfield onconnect::Configandlisten::Config, TOML only, omitted when default.[listen.extensions]reaches every listener, including the WebSocket route viaWeb::with_extensions.extensionsonConnectPropsandAcceptProps, with the same negotiation and Solicit rules.Public API and wire impact
API: additive, namely
setup::Extensions, thewith_extensionsmethods onmoq_net::{Client, Server}andmoq_relay::Web, the moq-tokioextensionsfields, and JSExtensions.Wire: a draft-17+ Rust server now omits AUTH from its SETUP when the client did not offer it; before, it always sent it. Backward compatible, since AUTH is negotiated only when both sides offer it. Declining an extension omits its option. moq-lite is unaffected.
Testing

Each regression test fails with its fix reverted.session.rs:a_declined_extension_stays_out_of_setup,a_server_offers_auth_only_to_a_client_that_did,an_auth_request_to_a_side_that_declined_it_is_refused.subscriber.rs:an_announce_to_a_side_that_declined_solicit_is_fine.tests/extensions.rs: Solicit declined on either side across drafts 14-22, and AUTH declined on either side on drafts 17 and 22.extensions.test.ts.Left out, for review
