Publish @misofm/codec 0.1.0 and configure trusted publishing

GitHub: #3

Authorization and scope

The user explicitly requested publication and npm trusted publishing on
2026-09-13. This authorizes the release actions that were excluded from issue 1.
The reviewed codec implementation is merged through PR 2 at main 544aaa9.
Publish the real @misofm/codec@0.1.0 package and configure a reusable GitHub
Actions OIDC publisher for misofm/codec. Preserve all codec source, Wasm assets,
peer/runtime support, and verification gates. No adapter/CLI/transcoder changes.

Release contract

  • Work from a reviewed, green, exact main commit. Keep the public package and
repository identity fixed; version 0.1.0 must be absent before publication.
  • Build and test the release tarball using the existing fresh-consumer matrix.
Publish exactly the verified tarball, with no media, caches, dependencies,
credentials, or test fixtures added to the package.
  • Because npm requires an existing package to configure trust, use the local
authorized npm CLI for the first real release. Record that this local bootstrap
has no CI provenance; keep provenance enabled for subsequent OIDC releases.
Do not publish placeholder versions or issue extra versions merely to test OIDC.
  • Configure trusted publisher misofm/codec, workflow npm-publish.yml, with
direct npm publish permission. Do not place an npm write token in GitHub.
Use npm 11.19.1, which supports the current trust CLI, without changing the
    user's global npm installation.
  • Add an explicit GitHub-hosted release workflow with publish and verify modes,
exact main commit/version admission, concurrency control, pinned tooling,
and contents: read / id-token: write permissions. Never publish on a PR.
Run codec checks, native oracle verification, and packed consumers before a
publish. Future CI publication emits npm provenance automatically.
  • Verify public registry identity, integrity, installed Wasm assets, and real
encode/decode through an isolated registry consumer. Verify the saved trusted
publisher configuration and exercise the workflow's read-only verify mode.
  • A browser/passkey/OTP challenge is a registry authentication requirement, not
an additional permission request. Preserve the pending CLI command and ask
for only the authentication action npm requires if it cannot complete locally.

Evidence and completion gates

Sol scopes and implements release tooling; fresh Sol reviews the immutable
release change. Record exact commit/tag, CI run, tested tarball SHA-256/integrity,
registry version and dist-tag, trust configuration, and registry-consumer result.
The task is complete when 0.1.0 is publicly installable, trusted publishing is
configured, and release verification is green. Do not claim a verify-only run
has exercised an OIDC publish. Any pending authentication remains explicit.

Current status

Release tooling is merged through PR 4.
The release main commit is 12f54c988a2df319064e6ca3885268d976319cc1, with
green CI. Fresh Sol
review signed off 5d7e1a7ceb667276c84934e0a61e95c725e5cae6; the merge has the
same tree. Review evidence is in ../RELEASE_EVIDENCE/003/review.md.

The exact main commit passed the complete ten-combination packed-consumer matrix
under npm 11.19.1. The retained 139,230-byte tarball has SHA-256
3c318e0e5ccb861994b5084f5b3aeea857d79c5ae78f5fc412f2e85d8dd10a36 and integrity
sha512-Oleo8mUbyNzooQIgOsdxfxBYGhBXAJyGvZCna5cTcD8vGdfgcxMTUvzbCSccEOUYQ6vg+87WbI0UYmcEQpAk0w==.
The consumer and package receipt is in
../RELEASE_EVIDENCE/003/qualified-tarball.json.

@misofm/codec@0.1.0 was published through the authorized local npm CLI with
--ignore-scripts --provenance=false. The registry reports latest: 0.1.0.
Downloaded registry bytes match both recorded digests, and the normal registry
package passed the full ten-combination consumer matrix. Receipts are in
../RELEASE_EVIDENCE/003/registry-artifact.json and registry-consumer.json.

npm confirmed trusted publisher 26f5b08e-325d-42b8-85e3-bdc68ae84ddb, provider
GitHub, repository misofm/codec, workflow npm-publish.yml, with direct publish
and npm's default stage-publish permissions. A separate read-back authentication
is pending.

The initial verify workflow
passed qualification, registry byte comparison, and all registry consumers. Its
final signature audit step failed on shell heredoc indentation. A workflow-only
fix in PR 5 preserves the audit and
provenance gates; all fourteen extracted shell blocks pass bash -n, and
actionlint passes. Fresh Sol review signed off
b234c1f94b4684c747adde1606dcb341c1c44288; its report is in
../RELEASE_EVIDENCE/003/audit-fix-review.md.

The corrected verify dispatch
at main 1f3bd1da525901bcab72f21ea4ed410f2c9ca33d passed all three jobs:
qualification, registry artifact comparison, and registry consumers/signatures.
This commit changes only release tooling/evidence relative to the package release;
the registry tarball remains identical. Verify mode did not exercise OIDC publication.

The v0.1.0 GitHub release
targets the original release source 12f54c988a2df319064e6ca3885268d976319cc1.
Package publication, registry qualification, tag/release, and trusted-publisher
creation are complete. The sole remaining issue gate is the separate authenticated
trust read-back; its expired challenge is awaiting user availability for a fresh
link. Creation-response evidence is in
../RELEASE_EVIDENCE/003/trusted-publisher.json.
