I don't know if this should support 1.8.7 or not, any comments regarding this issue would be appreciated.
As of now it doesn't work correctly in some places with 1.8, and if it were for me I'd support only 1.9.
Anyone needs it to work on 1.8.7?
PS. The only reason I wanted to support 1.8 in the first place was to run it on Rubinius, but its ffi is incompatible with the ffi gem, so it doesn't work anyway on Rubinius.
