SPIKE: Assess automated build -> prod chrome store #60
Current flow would be:
• Build an extension ZIP file using the command line or any preferred tool.
• Upload that ZIP file to the Contentstack Web Store account and submit it for publish review.
• The review takes a short time, and once approved, it will auto-publish.
Why we cannot auto-publish via CI/CD:
Chrome extension currently does not provide an API or automated pipeline to directly upload and publish extensions. Since the Web Store requires a manual upload followed by a review/approval step, it’s not possible to fully automate this through CI/CD. The review workflow blocks end-to-end automation.
