Summary
This story is dedicated to creating a new CI/CD pipeline for the Chrome Extension. This automation will streamline the process of building, testing, and publishing the extension to the Chrome Web Store, reducing manual effort and potential for human error.
Details
As a development team
We want to have an automated release pipeline
So that we can reliably and efficiently publish new versions of the extension.
Acceptance Criteria
A GitHub Actions workflow exists for building the extension.
The workflow automatically runs unit and E2E tests on push and pull requests.
A new workflow automates the signing and publishing of a new version to the Chrome Web Store upon a tagged release.
The pipeline correctly handles versioning and creates release notes.
