Wave

Wave is a Neovim colorscheme with two variants:

  • wave, the default dark scheme
  • wave-light, the light scheme

The project is based on the original kanagawa.nvim and now maintains its own palette and theme choices.

Requirements

  • Neovim 0.12 or later
  • Git
  • A terminal with true-color support
  • A terminal with undercurl support

Installation

Add Wave with Neovim's built-in package manager:

vim.pack.add({
    "https://github.com/lumertzg/wave.nvim",
})

vim.cmd.colorscheme("wave")

Usage

Load either scheme directly:

vim.cmd.colorscheme("wave")
vim.cmd.colorscheme("wave-light")

Wave has no setup or override API. Each variant defines a fixed palette and highlight set.

Wave compiles a theme the first time it loads and reuses the compiled file on later starts. Run :WaveCompile after updating the plugin to rebuild both variants immediately.
