Hope to support Volcano Ark's agent plan, which includes various mainstream open‑source models and offers relatively favorable pricing. #1227
Hope to support Volcano Ark Agent Plan and Coding Plan, as well as the Response API and thinking intensity configuration.
What prevents this today?
Currently, Volcano Ark Agent Plan and Coding Plan are not officially supported. During configuration, the model discovery section uses default‑checked options to establish connections, which triggers 429 errors. Meanwhile, thinking‑intensity configuration malfunctions. Volcano Ark only supports three tiers, whereas the default configuration contains more tiers, leading to direct errors.
What should OpenCodex do?
It can perfectly support Volcano‑Ark‑style Agent Plan and Coding Plan. It can also provide comprehensive support for the configuration of relevant models.

Checks
I searched existing issues and documentation.
This request describes a concrete OpenCodex workflow rather than merely naming a desired technology.
First-class Volcengine Ark support landed in #611, including separate presets for:
volcengine — Ark pay-as-you-go
volcengine-coding-plan — Coding Plan
volcengine-agent-plan — Agent Plan
That implementation also added native Responses routing for Agent Plan, curated plan-specific model catalogs, provider/UI integration, and reasoning/thinking configuration coverage.
The original request in this issue therefore describes functionality that is already present on current OpenCodex.
If a specific Volcengine model still rejects a reasoning effort, returns a 429 during setup, or behaves incorrectly on a current release, please open a focused bug report with:
exact OpenCodex version
selected Volcengine preset
model ID
reasoning effort
exact request/error
whether the same request works directly against the corresponding Volcengine endpoint
That would be a compatibility bug rather than the missing-provider feature tracked here.

Closing as already implemented.
