Hi @dasmfm, sorry for the slow reply, and thanks for putting this together!

I get what you’re trying to achieve, but I’m not sure I want to commit to this implementation yet since it’s focused specifically on tools. I think a more general, flexible approach could be a better fit.

I’ll keep this use case in mind, but I won’t be merging this implementation. If you need this today, feel free to fork the repo and use your changes there until we have a broader solution.
