I wonder if most people would prefer an option to just remember and restore the maximized state for an application, one that works across cinnamon restarts? This is more consistent with what the other options this extension provides and it would adapt to the users preferences over time as they maximize there windows. I know it's not exactly what you would want, but after you maximize the windows for your common set of windows it would still give you mostly what you want.

You might have noticed the "app-settings-list" config option that is not really used at this point. One day I was thinking of adding options so that users could setup application specific rules (ie. for Chrome, always open maximized). I could also add options to setup global rules that are not application specific, that would give you what you are looking for, all windows maximized when they start.

How does that sound?
