Docs only. Two sentences in the README described an older window:

  • Voice messages were on the not-built list, but they play in their message since October (32d10d0), with their waveform and speeds, for Telegram and Discord — crates/chatd/tests/playback.rs runs the real mediad --play for both. They leave the list, and the behaviours section says they play.
  • Message search in the window was on the same list, but the switcher's "Search messages" row opens a pane of hits and a click lands on the message (from Land a search hit as a jump: the hit flashes and the pill points back to present. #30). It leaves the list too, and the search bullet tells what the pane does. The networks themselves are still not asked.

CONTRIBUTING's test notes say where Windows finds the openssl command that mediad's voice tests make their TLS certificate with (Git for Windows ships one under usr\bin) — the one environment gap a fresh Windows clone hits after protoc.

Every claim in the changed hunks was verified against the code on main before this was opened.

The not-built list still named voice messages, which play in their message since October, with their waveform and speeds, for Telegram and Discord - and message search in the window, which the switcher's search row opens as a pane of hits that land on their message. Both leave the list. The search bullet tells what the pane does. And CONTRIBUTING's test notes say where Windows finds the openssl command that mediad's voice tests make their certificate with.

Checked against main: voice messages play at 100/150/200 % through mediad --play, one file at a time, with Discord's waveform mapped; the switcher's row opens the hits pane and a hit lands on its message; mediad's voice tests do shell out to openssl. Thanks.
