Closes all five open issues in one campaign branch (7 focused commits, each independently reviewable). Nothing here merges itself — review and merge when satisfied.

#124 — Aletheia CLI rebuilt on the RSR v2 SSOT (9323897)

  • 26-check offline file-presence subset (13 Bronze / 12 Silver / 1 Gold), every check citing its v2 criterion (SSOT_PROVENANCE in checks.rs)
  • Full CLI: [repo-path], --format X/=X, --json/--sarif/--html/--badge, -v/-q, --config, --init-hook; exit codes 0/1/2/3/4
  • Real .aletheia.toml (level / per-check toggles / ignore globs); submodule skipping, symlink-escape criticals, per-check suggestions
  • 111/111 tests green (66 unit + 45 integration), zero warnings, zero dependencies
  • The pin check learned the estate mechanism (d8a0483): tags covered by actions.lock pass (governance forbids inline SHAs with a lock — verified against governance-reusable); plus the tier-1 Bun carve-out

#125 — Clippy clean and blocking (9323897 + 5aa5041)

  • Findings wired into real code, not silenced; clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings blocks in CI and just lint

rust-ci restored (5aa5041, part of the #125 gate half)

  • The tree-move commit deleted the root gate without re-pointing it — main has had no Rust CI since. Restored with 5 jobs mirroring just check, tags + lock entry, validated YAML

#102 — Justfile canonicity (40b57fa)

  • Root declared canonical; the contractiles stub (fake gates echoing "not configured yet") is now a forwarding shim — verified from three working directories (a bare import runs recipes in the wrong tree; the working-directory override fixes it)
  • Drive-by: crg-grade/crg-badge failed 100% of runs (Make-style $$); repaired and verified via root and shim

#100 — Changelog automation (12d123c)

  • changelog.yml adopted (commit-back; main has no branch protection, verified via API), pinned to standards@b77c53c; no local cliff.toml by design
  • CHANGELOG.md seeded with the exact reusable recipe (git-cliff 2.6.1 + canonical config); CHANGELOG.adoc frozen as a pointer with content preserved

#98 — hypatia-ignore pruned (a7c768a)

  • All 10 entries verified dead at the pinned submodule commit; file is now a comments-only audit record (history, re-verification commands, upstream pointer absolute-zero#77); cross-refs in hypatia.a2ml / Dustfile.a2ml / STATE updated

Docs sync (9ff1e99)

  • Every doc describing the pre-campaign state re-measured: STATE.a2ml (rsr-source-of-truth ANSWERED), TEST-NEEDS, README, both EXPLAINMEs, CLAUDE.md, PROJECT_STATUS, full QUICK_REFERENCE v2 rewrite, superseded-spec banners, working install.sh (tested end to end), dead-GitLab contacts repointed

Deliberately not in this PR

  • create-template.sh still emits the v1 shape — that is a generator rewrite, filed as a follow-up issue, not a docs touch-up
  • docs/STATE-OF-PLAY-2026-07-29.adoc untouched (dated snapshot)
  • Upstream absolute-zero#77 owns that repo's stale ignore entries

Verification: just check green (build + 111 tests + fmt + clippy -D + zero-dep); aletheia self-verifies Bronze ACHIEVED (23/26); new workflows YAML-validated with no duplicate keys; install.sh tested end to end.

Implements the missing CLI that 27/29 integration tests were failing
against (issue #124), grounded in the upstream single source of truth
instead of the retired 2025 v1 shape:

- Criteria: hyperpolymath/standards 0-canon/rsr/rsr-criteria-v2.a2ml
(v2.1.0-draft, 2026-09-19). Aletheia evaluates the offline
  file-presence subset (26 checks: 13 Bronze, 12 Silver, 1 Gold) and
says so in verbose output; the hypatia rsr-conformance oracle stays
normative. Provenance constant + honesty note in-code.
- CLI: [repo-path] (default .), --format X/=X, --json/--sarif/--html/
  --badge, -v/-q, --config, --init-hook + init-hook subcommand,
  --help/--version. Exit codes 0/1/2/3/4.
- Config: real .aletheia.toml ([aletheia] level, [checks] toggles by
check id + category aliases, [ignore] files globs). Hand-rolled TOML
  gains sections, comments-in-strings, inline arrays.
- Previously dead modules now wired: glob ignore matching, symlink
escape scan (critical warnings), submodule skipping via .gitmodules,
  per-check suggestions, recursive SPDX/secret/language scans.
- Output: human (sections, score, Bronze+Silver verdicts, Verified
timestamp, Fix Suggestions, verbose explainer), JSON, SARIF 2.1.0
(rsr/<id> rules), offline HTML, SVG badge, quiet PASS/FAIL.
- Secrets: fragment-built markers so the scanner never flags its own
  source (documented self-hosting paradox).
- Tests: 42 integration tests on CARGO_BIN_EXE_aletheia (no nested
  cargo), v2 fixtures, submodule/symlink/level-gating coverage;
62 unit tests. 104/104 green, zero warnings.
- Clippy: the 20 findings are gone by wiring, not by allow(dead_code)
(3 genuine simplifications fixed). -D warnings clean on all targets.

Fixes the code half of #125; the CI gate half follows with the
restored root rust-ci.yml. Refs #124.

Co-Authored-By: Arena Agent <agent@arena.ai>
The strict full-SHA test contradicted estate enforcement: governance
verifies tags-in-YAML plus a verified actions.lock, and forbids inline
SHAs alongside a lock (they break the lock tooling). A strict check
would flag every estate-conformant repo at Silver, including this one.

- sha-pinned: a uses: ref now passes with a full SHA or with a tag
covered by .github/workflows/actions.lock for that file (repo-level
entries cover sub-path actions at the same ref). Repos without a
lockfile stay on strict SHAs, mirroring the governance no-lock
branch. actions/github-script exempt for governance parity.
- no-node-runtime: tier-1 Bun carve-out (estate LANGUAGE-POLICY 1):
runtime deps accompanied by bun.lock/bun.lockb pass.
- 4 unit + 3 integration tests; strict line form kept as a cfg(test)
entry point. 111/111 green, clippy -D warnings clean.

Refs #124.
Closes #102. The estate-supplied .machine_readable/contractiles/Justfile
had drifted into fake gates: build/test/fmt/lint/clean echoing 'not
configured yet' with exit 0, shadowing the real root recipes for anyone
running just from that directory (the issue #99 failure mode).

- Root Justfile declared canonical (already the real, CI-wired set).
- contractiles/Justfile reduced to a forwarding shim: import of the root
file plus working-directory override so recipes execute at the root.
A bare import was measured to run recipes with cwd=contractiles/ (wrong
tree); the override was verified from root, contractiles/ and unrelated
cwd. Shim documents the scoped Justfiles that are NOT duplicates
  (aletheia/, rhodibot/ crate files; upstream-owned absolute-zero/).
- All utility recipes (doctor/heal/tour/help-me/assail/crg-*) were byte-
identical between root and stub, so nothing is lost.
- Drive-by: crg-grade/crg-badge failed 100% of runs (Make-style $$
escapes passed literally to sh: PID + '(grep...)' syntax error). Just
passes $ through, so single-$. Verified via root and shim.

Refs #102.
The tree-move commit deleted the old root rust-ci.yml without
re-pointing it, so main has had no Rust CI since (the month-long
broken-main episode in aletheia/.github/workflows/README.md is what
that costs). This restores the gate and closes the CI half of #125:

- rust-ci.yml (new): five jobs mirroring the root Justfile recipes —
build (debug --all-targets + release), test (full suite, locked),
fmt --check, clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings (blocking), and
the zero-dependency check. Tags + actions.lock entry (the estate
mechanism; governance forbids inline SHAs with a lock). Ambient
toolchain (crate declares rust-version 1.80); no MSRV job — same
coverage as the deleted gate, deliberately.
- Justfile: test runs the full suite now the CLI exists (the #124
--bins note retired), lint gains -- -D warnings (the #125 note
retired), check adds lint so just check == CI.
- actions.lock: rust-ci.yml entry (checkout tag; no new dependency
rows needed). Validated: YAML parses, no duplicate keys (the
  governance shape), top-level permissions present.
- aletheia inert-workflows README: the 'real gate' section was stale
(claimed a root gate with 26 unit tests); now describes the
  restored gate (66 unit + 45 integration).

Closes the gate half of #125 (code half closed by the rebuild).
Closes #100. CHANGELOG.md is now generated from conventional commits on
every push to main via standards/changelog-reusable.yml (pinned to
standards@b77c53c, 2026-09-21):

- Caller uses commit-back: main has no branch protection (verified via
API), so the workflow commits the regenerated file straight back. If
protection is ever enabled, switch mode to pr-back (noted in-file).
- No local cliff.toml by design — the reusable falls back to the
canonical standards/templates/cliff.toml (one config, no drift).
- CHANGELOG.md seeded locally with the exact reusable recipe
(git-cliff 2.6.1 + canonical config + same args), so the first
commit-back run on main only churns the merge commit itself.
- CHANGELOG.adoc frozen with a pointer banner (content preserved for
history; new entries belong to the generated .md).
- actions.lock entry (reusable-only caller, like governance.yml).

Validated: caller YAML parses with no duplicate keys and top-level
permissions; aletheia changelog + sha-pinned checks green.
Closes #98. All 10 cicd_rules/banned_language_file entries were verified
dead at the pinned absolute-zero commit (87902bb): the vendored demo
subtree is gone upstream and aletheia/examples/SafeDOMExample.res died in
#74. Exemptions for nonexistent paths are theater, not coverage.

- .hypatia-ignore rewritten as a comments-only audit record: no active
exemptions (deliberate state, not a missing file), prune history,
re-verification commands, and the upstream pointer
(hyperpolymath/absolute-zero#77 owns that repo's own stale entries).
The TODO 2026-Q3 and standards#180 comments retired with the entries
(file_pattern globs have since merged upstream).
- bot_directives/hypatia.a2ml [accepted-findings] updated to the
  no-exemptions state (last-updated bumped); Dustfile.a2ml residue and
  the STATE.a2ml next-action marked resolved.
- docs/STATE-OF-PLAY-2026-07-29.adoc intentionally untouched: it is a
dated snapshot, and #98 was genuinely open on 2026-07-29.
Closes the paper trail for #98, #100, #102, #124, #125. All figures
re-measured 2026-09-21, not carried forward:

- STATE.a2ml: testing/ci/gating refreshed (66 unit + 45 integration,
clippy blocking, rust-ci restored), rsr-source-of-truth ANSWERED,
blockers removed, next-actions resolved, [recent-work-2026-09] added.
- Intentfile.a2ml: changelog-automation + root-justfile-wiring → done.
- TEST-NEEDS, README, EXPLAINME-new: '27 failing by design' sections
rewritten as resolved, with the stdout-substring caution preserved as
a standing rule for future checks (SSOT first, strings second).
- EXPLAINME.adoc: Guix/Nix row was fiction (no guix.scm/manifest.scm in
tree, no guix-nix-policy gate, flake retired) — now says so.
- QUICKSTART-DEV: clone block documents submodule init (resolves the
  submodule-docs next-action).
- aletheia/CLAUDE.md + PROJECT_STATUS.adoc: measured refresh (v1.9.0,
~3,800 src lines, 111 tests, self-verified Bronze) with the rebuild
  lessons kept binding.
- QUICK_REFERENCE.adoc: full v2 rewrite — the old card prescribed the
retired shape (LICENSE.txt, lowercase justfile, flake.nix, GitLab
install URLs, a Docker image that was never published, `just validate` which never existed). Now: real 26-check inventory, real
output sketch, real exit codes, working install/CI snippets.
- RSR-CONFORMANCE.adoc (2025-12-26) + RSR-SPECIFICATION.adoc (v0.1.0):
bannered as superseded with pointers to the SSOT/oracle/inventory.
- simple_verification.rs: expected-output sketch redrawn in v2 shape.
- install.sh: repointed at GitHub (the GitLab URL 403s) and TESTED
end to end (clone → release build → ~/.local/bin install works).
- aletheia/.well-known/security.txt + ai.txt: dead GitLab contacts
repointed at GitHub (dropped the unreachable Encryption key URL).
- rust-ci.yml header: records the no-allow(dead_code) rule the STATE
  landmine cites.

Deliberately untouched: docs/STATE-OF-PLAY-2026-07-29.adoc (dated
snapshot), aletheia/CHANGELOG.adoc + CHANGELOG.adoc body (history),
create-template.sh (still EMITS the v1 shape — that is a generator
rewrite, filed as follow-up, not a docs touch-up).

…e, review port (#188)

## Why main is red (post-#185 triage)

- `changelog` workflow: `startup_failure`, 0 jobs, twice (`900c1416`,
`e6d02db`).
Root cause: the caller lacks top-level `actions: read`, so the reusable
dispatch
gets `actions: none` and dies before any job starts (same failure is
documented
in hyperpolymath/standards' own caller). The pinned reusable SHA is fine
(`b77c53c` is on standards main, byte-identical to main).
- `security-linter`: `actions.lock` pinned codeql-action v4.38.0 while
#187 bumped
  the workflow to v4.38.1 (`gh-actions-lock` never re-ran).
- `empty-linter`: 206 systematic `@\u200b` mention-defusings inside
`<code>` spans
in CHANGELOG.md (verified by scan: no other invisible codepoints in
tree).
- `docs-gate`: root-anchored presence check now requires root
CONTRIBUTING.adoc
  (cutoff 2026-08-21 passed).

## What this PR does (5 commits, squash to one)

1. changelog caller: top-level `actions: read`, job `contents: write` +
`pull-requests: write`, reusable mode to `pr-back` (commit-back is dead
under
the signed-commit rule), T1 review note, STATE incident + Intentfile.
2. `actions.lock` → v4.38.1 (`sha1-1c5b6756…`, matches upstream tag
SHA).
3. Strip the 206 ZWSP (render-neutral: they sit inside code spans).
4. Add root CONTRIBUTING.adoc.
5. Port CodeRabbit T1/T2/T4–T10 responses to main (9/9 files
byte-identical to
review; T3 deferred — 7-walker perf, per-check budgets are by design).

## Verification (all on the tip commit)

cargo build/test (68+47 green), fmt, clippy -D warnings, zero-dep tree,
aletheia self-scan 26/26 Silver, upstream check-docs-presence.sh exit 0,
full-tree invisible scan 0 hits.

Merge: squash only (branch commits unsigned, required_signatures
active).

…le, quickstart (#189)

## Follow-ups closing out the #185 thread (6 commits, squash to one)

Stacked on #188 — rebase onto main after it merges.

1. Toolchain: real pins replace all-latest (`mise.toml` +
`.tool-versions`:
   rust 1.98.1, just 1.58.0, guix 1.43.0).
2. Guix: ship the `manifest.scm` QUICKSTART always promised (bare `guix
shell`
reads `manifest.scm`, not `guix.scm`; upstream naming issue still open).
3. Discovery: root `.well-known/` links to canonical `www/` (move
rejected in #175).
4. Profile: declare the RSR capability set (`rsr-profile.a2ml`).
5. QUICKSTART-DEV filled with measured values.
6. EXPLAINME + STATE synced.

## Verification (tip commit)

Same suite as the parent PR, all green: 68+47 tests, fmt, clippy, zero
deps, 26/26
Silver self-scan, docs gate exit 0, invisible scan 0 hits.

Merge: squash only, after the parent PR (stacked).
