docs: point the ordinal lane at hyperpolymath/ordinal-notation - #351
Living status documents now say the lane moved and that only EchoOrdinal, Ordinal.OmegaMarkers and Ordinal.Buchholz.Syntax stay. Files: CLAUDE.md (with a new session arc at the top), EXPLAINME.adoc, PROOF-STATUS.adoc, TOPOLOGY.adoc, roadmap.adoc Lane 3, docs/echo-types/MAP.adoc, docs/bridge-status.adoc, docs/proof-obligations.adoc, docs/echo-types/echo-kernel-note.adoc, docs/echo-types/what-echo-is.adoc, and the three wiki pages.
docs/proof-debt.adoc: (d) is now empty here. The two Fidelity.agda postulates left with the lane, so echo-types has one quarantined postulate block, under (c).
Corrections to existing claims:
EXPLAINME.adoc said no Echo*.agda imports from Ordinal/; in fact EchoOrdinal imports the two leaves that stayed.
PROOF-STATUS.adoc called the Fidelity postulates "the ONLY postulates", ignoring EchoImageFactorizationPropPostulated.
Moved documents. The seven design and decision documents that moved with the lane get a "moved" banner and stay here as frozen copies: docs/bridges/buchholz-*.adoc, docs/echo-types/buchholz-rank-obstruction.adoc, the two ordinal decision records, and Fidelity-OPEN-postulates.adoc.
Not edited:
AFFIRMATION.adoc is a signed, dated snapshot.
Proof logs and dated status files.
CLAIMS_AUDIT.adoc rows; a note at the top says some rows describe the tree as it was when audited.
docs/echos/ is about EchoFidelity, which is unrelated.
CHANGELOG.adoc has entries for the removal and this sweep.
Testing
This PR changes docs only.
sh scripts/kernel-guard.sh PASS
bash tools/check-guardrails.sh OK (137 modules)
git diff --check clean
Left for the owner
The GitHub repository description for echo-types still says "Mechanized Bachmann-Howard ordinals, Buchholz/Veblen hierarchies" (CLAIMS_AUDIT S-002). It needs changing in the repo settings.
echo-types#349 removed the ordinal lane, but the docs still described it
as present. Update them to match the tree.
- Living status documents now say the lane moved: CLAUDE.md, EXPLAINME,
PROOF-STATUS, TOPOLOGY, roadmap Lane 3, MAP, proof-debt, bridge-status,
proof-obligations, the kernel note, what-echo-is and the wiki.
- proof-debt: (d) is empty here. The two Fidelity postulates left with
the lane, so one quarantined postulate block remains, under (c).
- EXPLAINME: correct "no Echo*.agda imports from Ordinal/".
EchoOrdinal imports the two bridge leaves that stayed.
- The seven documents that moved with the lane keep a frozen copy here
with a "moved" banner.
- Dated records (AFFIRMATION, proof logs, dated status files) are left
as written. The paper's ordinal appendix gets a one-line note.
Docs only. kernel-guard and check-guardrails pass.

Updated project status and guidance to reflect that the ordinal development and its design materials have moved to a separate repository.
Clarified that the echo-to-ordinal bridge remains here, alongside two supporting modules.
Marked retained design documents as frozen copies and updated records of remaining proof obligations.
This pull request updates repository status, proof-debt, roadmap, and reference documents to record the ordinal lane’s move to ordinal-notation. It identifies the retained EchoOrdinal bridge and imports, updates the local postulate count, and marks moved design documents as frozen copies.

Governance and Secret Scanner: startup failure, not caused by this PR.
Both runs fail at startup with zero jobs (run 40363934097 and run 40363934265). This PR changes only .adoc and .md files. The same failure hits every workflow here that calls a hyperpolymath/standards reusable workflow:
The scheduled Scorecard run on main (run 40270270976) failed this morning.
choreographic-types' Scorecard failed the same way on 2026-10-26. It passed daily from 10-20 to 10-25 on the same commit and the same standards pin (75bd5994).
Workflows that do not call standards (CodeQL, Hypatia, Agda) run normally.
Likely cause: the standards repository has moved to metadatastician/standards. .github/workflows/actions.lock still records hyperpolymath/standards@75bd5994 with the old owner_id (6759885), so lockfile verification fails before any job starts.
Fix: repin the uses: lines to the new owner and regenerate the lock with gh actions-lock. That needs to happen estate-wide, so it is not done in this PR. No fix has been ported, and these checks will not go green until the repin lands.
The block is labelled “as of 2026-06-21”, but the changed ordinal entry records a move on 2026-10-20. Update the heading to the current status date, or label the whole block as historical.

Update the “One-line status” heading in the status block to use the current

Minor · Relabel the lane-status pointer as historical. · buchholz-plan.adoc:28-30
This copy is frozen and its notice links the maintained ordinal-notation repository. The "Live lane status" label still points to roadmap.adoc § Lane 3. The repository's working rules say the ordinal lane is retired from echo-types, and that Lane 3's "next rungs" language is not an echo-types TODO. A "Live" label on that pointer is therefore inaccurate. Use a historical label instead. The notice names only the repository root, so do not add record-level pointers into ordinal-notation.

The postulated module is outside the All.agda import closure.
proofs/agda/All.agda imports EchoImageFactorizationProp, not EchoImageFactorizationPropPostulated. No Agda source imports the postulated module. Its only project import is the parameterised module, so no transitive path reaches it.
…at-extraction
Two inconsistencies introduced by the previous commit, found in review:
- wiki/Home.adoc: the status block was still dated 2026-06-21 but now
records the 2026-10-20 move. Re-date it, and point the establishment
bullet's open fidelity problem at ordinal-notation.
- docs/bridges/buchholz-plan.adoc is a frozen copy, so its "Live"
pointers are now wrong. Relabel them as the state at extraction.

## Summary
The standards repository moved from `hyperpolymath` to `metadatastician`
between 2026-10-25 and 2026-10-26. Both names now resolve to the same
HEAD (`ecf80c5`). Since then every workflow here that calls a standards
reusable has failed at startup with zero jobs:
- the scheduled Scorecard run (run 40270270976);
- Governance and Secret Scanner on #351.
Workflows that call nothing in standards (CodeQL, Hypatia, Agda) still
run. choreographic-types failed the same way the same morning, on an
unchanged commit and pin.
## Two causes; this PR fixes the in-repo one
1. **The `uses:` path.** Runs on the old `hyperpolymath/standards/...`
path fail before GitHub even reads the workflow name. **This PR** repins
to `metadatastician/standards` at the same commit (`75bd5994`). With the
new path, the runs now resolve their names (`Governance`, `Secret
Scanner`).
2. **The Actions allowlist.** The runs still startup-fail after the
repin. The repository runs Actions with `allowed_actions=selected`. The
canonical allowlist (`config/settings/actions-allowlist.json` in
standards) has `hyperpolymath/*` but no `metadatastician/*`, so the
moved workflows are refused before any job starts.
`scripts/set-allowed-actions.sh` in standards describes exactly that
symptom. **This is a repository setting, outside this PR.** It needs
`metadatastician/*` added to the canonical allowlist and then applied
with `set-allowed-actions.sh` (owner, admin rights).
## Changes
- `governance.yml`, `secret-scanner.yml`, `scorecard.yml`, `mirror.yml`:
`uses:` now points at `metadatastician/standards`, keeping the same
commit.
- `actions.lock`: the standards record moves to the new owner. That
covers the dependency key, the four workflow entries, and `owner_id`
297579217 (was 6759885). `repo_id` is unchanged, since a transfer keeps
the repository id. This was edited by hand because `gh actions-lock` is
not available here; running it on this branch would confirm the record.
## Testing
- The files parse as YAML.
- Governance and Secret Scanner on this PR still startup-fail, as
expected until the allowlist change is applied. They are the test: once
the setting is applied, re-run them and they should start jobs.
