More Information

Please review SvaraHome 2.5.0, published as the stable version of homebridge-pax-calima.

SvaraHome is a dynamic platform for local Bluetooth control of Pax Calima and Vent-Axia Svara extractor fans. It offers timed Boost and Pause, return to automatic ventilation, measured speed feedback and optional control of the fan’s saved quiet-hours schedule. We found no existing verified plugin specifically supporting these fans; please advise if there is overlap the review should address.

The Settings GUI requires each fan’s own Bluetooth address and six- or eight-digit PIN. Empty/unusable configuration does not load the Bluetooth driver or scan. There is no plugin install/postinstall script, no tracking/cloud API and no TTY prompt. Runtime state uses Homebridge accessory context. Bluetooth access is the normal host prerequisite; developer diagnostic commands are not installation requirements.

Controls authenticate before operation and confirm the fan’s response. Transient communication failures are caught and retried, with stale data or failed commands reported as HomeKit communication errors. Unsupported ambient temperature, humidity and light tiles have been removed. Tests cover authentication failure, malformed telemetry, timeouts, shutdown and pending-request recovery.

Physical control checks used two Vent-Axia Svara fans (firmware 02.08 with six-digit PIN and 02.10 with eight-digit PIN). Boost, Pause and cancellation were exercised. The owner additionally observed Wetroom Boost return to automatic operation; elapsed duration was not measured. We do not claim universal firmware compatibility, exact Siri recognition or uninterrupted long-term Bluetooth reliability.

The public npm tarball was downloaded and matched the checked artifact (SHA-256 99a2d42b4fac5e3019159c7b28e86082e4f5a375733ec3d0f90acb19c40f0edc). The default npm page shows the updated 2.5 guide and requested homepage. No verified badge is displayed; verification remains subject to your review.

Hi @KernowekConsulting, thanks for submitting SvaraHome. Your request had lost its labels, so the automated checks never ran on it. I've added them, and the checks passed on 2.5.1. To answer your question: there's no overlap with an existing verified plugin, as none of them support the Pax Calima or Vent-Axia Svara fans.

It's now verified, I've added your icon (it should start showing in the Homebridge UI within the hour), and I've listed it on the Bluetooth Plugins wiki page.

One small request: only the 2.5.x versions have GitHub releases. Could you publish a release with notes for each new version from now on? Those notes are shown in the Homebridge UI when people update the plugin. Thanks for contributing to Homebridge!
