Say how to install it, and stop writing like a machine - #34
Conversation
The command line had no installation instructions at all. It has three ways in now — Homebrew, which brings ffmpeg with it, an archive per platform named by its target, and the app, which is a separate download — and the step macOS users hit without them: a downloaded binary is quarantined and the first run is refused without saying why. The Contributing section named three checks as the ones CI runs. CI runs four, and the fourth builds the window. Somebody following the README could pass everything locally and fail on a broken import. Both files then went through the stop-slop review, one language each, Claude and Codex in agreement on the structural notes. The English lost 21 em dashes and nine instances of one contrast construction, which together were what made the rhythm even. Adverbs that were not carrying anything went with them, and a few sentences that narrated from a distance now address the reader. The Japanese lost two words that had been asked about directly: 書庫 for an archive, and グロブ used without explanation. Nine paragraphs in a row had been landing on 〜ためです; three do now. Quotation marks used for emphasis went from eight to none. No number, player name or limit changed in either, and every code block is byte-identical to what it was.

If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews. How do review limits work?CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability. For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window. "Either way, ffmpeg has to be there too" swept in the route that brings it: brew install pulls ffmpeg as a dependency, which is most of the reason to offer that route at all. Split by route, in both languages, and Windows now gets somewhere to get a build rather than a brew command it cannot run. The extraction command globbed on the Apple silicon target, so a Linux reader had a table naming their archive and a command that would not take it. It globs on the name alone now — whichever one was downloaded is the one in the folder. Run against the Linux archive to be sure.
Both READMEs. Installation instructions, which were missing, and a pass over
the prose.
The command line had no way in
The section opened by telling you what the tool expects and then showed you how
to use it, with nothing in between about how to get it. It now names three
routes:
brew install hiroaki222/tap/transcrate, new, and the shortest way in onmacOS and Linux because it brings ffmpeg with it
Linux reader previously had to work the target triple out from the releases
page
Plus the step macOS users hit without being told: a downloaded binary is
quarantined and the first run is refused with no explanation.
xattr -donce.The archive is named with a glob rather than a version so the instruction does
not go stale at the next release.
Contributing named three checks; CI runs four
Somebody following the README could pass everything locally and fail CI on a
broken import in the window. The fourth is in both languages now, with a line
saying it is the one that gets forgotten. The command was run before it was
written down.

language each, agreeing on the structural notes.

Held back in both: the pull quotes that do real explanatory work, and Codex's
suggestion to introduce a first-person voice the file has never had.
