unable to access the BSmooth.fstat function

for some reason i am unable to access the abovementioned function.
i can access it when i'm getting help (?BSmooth.fstat), but the actual function does not exist in the package (using version 1.40.0)

I don't recall the details and it's been several years since I last used bsseq.
At some point BSmooth.fstat() went from being an exported (i.e. user-facing) function to not being exported ... or perhaps it was never exported at all.
@kasperdanielhansen may remember more

In any case, you can run it via bsseq:::BSmooth.fstat().
::: is used to access non-exported functions and it's not generally recommended but it will at least allow you to run it.
