…the value that call left A stub in the same image borrows that function's signature, so deflateInit_ is the eight-argument call it is. A stub with no local function keeps the argument registers the site prepared. The second result register a call clobbers is not the return, and a value that exists only to be returned is not dead. DecBench gets each variable's name, type, and stack home.
Deciding whether a prepared register was only a call clobber walked every operand of every operation, sixteen deep. On a real argument that search does not come back. It now follows the copy and width-cast chain above an undefine, and inlining a value that reads itself stops.
