This repository contains a modified version of the official YT6801 Linux driver provided by Motorcomm. The modifications address a compilation issue encountered on newer Linux kernels (specifically tested on 6.15.9).
The original driver source was obtained from Motorcomm. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 (GPLv2).
- Homepage/Download: Refer to the official Motorcomm resources or the documentation provided with the original driver package.
- Original License: GNU General Public License version 2 (see
COPYINGfile if present, or standard GPLv2 text).
- Issue: Compilation failed on newer kernels (e.g., 6.15.9) with the error
implicit declaration of function 'del_timer_sync'. - Reason: In newer kernel versions, the
del_timer_syncfunction has been deprecated or replaced. - Solution: Replaced the call to
del_timer_syncwithtimer_delete_syncinsrc/fuxi-gmac-phy.c. This new function provides equivalent synchronous timer deletion functionality for the affected kernel versions.
These changes allow the driver to compile successfully on systems running Linux kernel 6.15.9 and likely other recent versions where del_timer_sync is no longer available or recommended.
