Issues with trying to acces std in Edenhofer dustmap

I am using the Edenhofer dustmaps and have followed the instructions to fetch the map. I am using the mean and am trying to access the std, but for that it says that samples are required, even though the regular fits file that is downloaded states that the file includes mean and std without requiring samples. Is the std missing when not downloading samples?

There is an additional issue when downloading the samples to access the std for the distances >1.5 kpc but <2.0 kpc. When trying to read data from that dustmap, it resets all data previously in the kernel, basically deleting all data present. This also happens when only accessing a single star value.
