Summary

Port of the forked Paca GitHub plugin to GitLab as com.paca.gitlab.

  • Identity rename (plugin ID, schema gitlab_*, frontend/MCP/skill, release artifacts)
  • GitLab REST client with optional instance_url (default https://gitlab.com)
  • Access tokens: Personal, Project, and Group
  • Webhooks via GitLab 19+ signing_token (Standard Webhooks HMAC)
  • MR/branch/CI (pipelines) + review mapping (comment / approve / request-changes)
  • Frontend i18n en + it
  • README rewritten for the GitLab plugin

Self-Managed: supported in code via instance_url; smoke/testing deferred (no instance available). Primary validation target: GitLab.com when credentials exist.

Official GitLab MCP (/api/v4/mcp) is documented as a semantic reference; the Paca MCP bundle remains for task-centric linking.

Test plan

  • go test ./... (backend)
  • bun run typecheck (frontend + mcp)
  • Manual smoke on GitLab.com (token + link project + webhook) when credentials available
  • Self-Managed: deferred

Rename com.paca.github to com.paca.gitlab across backend, frontend, MCP,
and skills. Add GitLab REST client with instance URL, Personal/Project/Group
tokens, signing_token webhooks (19+), MR/pipeline mappings, and en/it i18n.

Document GitLab setup, token kinds, optional instance URL, webhook 19+,
i18n, and differences from the GitHub plugin. Note Self-Managed tests deferred.

Drop dead ghPullRequest/ghRepository aliases, glProjectToGHCompat, and
unused decryptToken wrapper so the Lint CI job passes.
