State of the Repository

While tracking our dependencies we noticed that the project has not have a release for over a year. This may be okay, if the code is considered feature complete and does not have any known issues. Seeing there are still open issues and PRs I want to ask what the current state of the project is.

Are there new releases planned in the future?

IMHO better switching to https://github.com/gofrs/uuid.

A few random facts related to this repository:

1. UUIDv6 was bugged. It has been fixed almost 2 years ago but no new release has been done yet:

   • Timestamp compatibility issues with V6 #203

2. In the meanwhile, Golang is discussing to integrate UUID library in stdlib:

   • uuid: add API to generate and parse UUID golang/go#62026
