Retrieve cell based on shortest distance

Hi,
i need to create the cell for list of lat and long and then have to retrieve the cells based on shortest distance or nearby cells.

List S2CellList = new ArrayList();
S2Cell s2cell = new S2Cell(S2LatLng.fromDegrees(lat,long).toPoint());
S2CellList.add(s2cell);

like that i have added the set of cell to list for the list of lat and long. Now i need to show the cell with shortest distance. please guide me in coding.

Put your lat/long in coordinates and this should help.

S2PointIndex<Integer> index = new S2PointIndex<>();
for (int i = 0; i < coordinates.size(); i++) {
    double[] c = coordinates.get(i);
    S2Point point = S2LatLng.fromDegrees(c[0], c[1]).toPoint();
    index.add(point, i);  // store index as data
}

S2ClosestPointQuery<Integer> query = new S2ClosestPointQuery<>(index);
query.setMaxPoints(1);  // only want the nearest one

S2Point target = S2LatLng.fromDegrees(queryLat, queryLng).toPoint();
List<S2ClosestPointQuery.Result<Integer>> results = query.findClosestPoints(target);

if (!results.isEmpty()) {
    int nearestIndex = results.get(0).data();
    S1ChordAngle distance = results.get(0).distance();
