The test started Fluent Bit in the background and never stopped it, so a process was left running after every run. It also only checked that the output file existed, which the shell redirection always creates. Wait for the Go output to print the three dummy records, check their count, and always stop Fluent Bit and wait for it. Signed-off-by: Eduardo Silva <eduardo@chronosphere.io>

Detect abnormal Fluent Bit exits
If Fluent Bit prints the three expected records and then crashes or exits nonzero—including during SIGTERM teardown—this wait ... || true discards the failure status, and the record-count assertion still passes. Fluent Bit handles SIGTERM as a clean shutdown, so capture the wait status and require a successful exit rather than masking every termination failure.

trap cleanup EXIThandler to stop Fluent Bit and remove the temp files on early exit. The sourced Go build script enables
set -e. If a command between Line 19 and Line 36 fails, the function exits early. Fluent Bit then keeps running in the background. The temp files at$STDOUT_OUTPUT_FILEand$SIGNAL_FILE_PATHalso stay behind. The PR aims to prevent exactly this leak. Problem
tests/runtime_shell/proxy_logs_expect.shstarts Fluent Bit in the backgroundwith the Go test output and never stops it, so every run of the test leaves a
fluent-bitprocess behind. Its only check was that the stdout capture fileexists, which the shell redirection always creates, so the test could not
fail.
Change
the dummy input, and assert the count.
