Review comments at @tests/runtime/out_http.c:
- Line 1376: Synchronize access to server.request_method in the request-wait
loop and final strcmp, since the server thread writes it concurrently. Use one
mutex for both the writer and all readers, or publish and read the method
through an atomic enum.
- Around line 1325-1327: Update the server shutdown flow around server->stop and
pthread_join so shutdown wakes the listener blocked in accept() before joining
server->thread. Have the listener check server->stop before reading from an
accepted connection, or use a bounded listener wait, so shutdown completes even
when no client connects.

Thanks, both fixed. Stop now wakes the listener with a quick loopback connect plus shutdown() before the join, so a failed startup can't leave it stuck in accept(). request_method and stop are behind a mutex now, and the final check runs after the thread is joined. Rebuilt flb-rt-out_http locally and both http_method tests pass. |

The patch itself seems good. Waiting for the CI results. |

@cestercian Hi, thanks for your work but your based revision contains an issue of building on Windows. So, could you rebase off the current master? |

Patch itself is good but we need to run CI of Windows tasks. So, could you rebase off master?

Rebased onto current master, so Windows CI should be able to run now. Thanks for the review! |

Fixed the ASan leak. The invalid http_method and compress error paths now hand upstream and uri to ctx and call flb_http_conf_destroy, so nothing is left behind. flb-rt-out_http passes under ASan locally. |
Fixes #12517
The HTTP output plugin now accepts
http_method PATCH(case-insensitive), alongside POST and PUT. Configuration parsing, the config map description, and trace logging were updated accordingly. Runtime tests use a local mock server to confirm PATCH is sent on the wire and that unsupported methods are rejected at init. Core HTTP client support for PATCH was already present (FLB_HTTP_PATCH).Tests:
ctest -R flb-rt-out_httppassed; focusedhttp_method_patch/http_method_invalidalso passed.Summary by CodeRabbit
