Follow-up to #45 / #46.

In Fahrenheit mode the step editor's slider jumped 9 °F, because it moved in 5 °C steps. Common targets fell between two positions.

Changes

  • The step editor works in the unit set on the device. The slider jumps 5° in °C (150–230 °C) and in °F (300–446 °F).
  • −/+ buttons next to the value change single degrees. They repeat when held, like on the Control tab. They are an optional fineTuning prop on SettingSlider, used only by the temperature slider.
  • Steps store °C with up to one decimal, so every whole °F is kept exactly. For example, 370 °F is stored as 187.8 °C. A unit test round-trips every °F from 300 to 446. The Volcano accepts tenths of a degree, and the existing encoding already rounds to 0.1 °C.
  • Compatible: existing workflows, exported files and share links stay valid, since whole °C are still allowed. Imports and share links are rounded to 0.1 °C. An older cached app version can also read the new links.
  • Displays show whole degrees: the step list, workflow cards and running workflow bar. The store keeps the target as whole °C, as the device reports it, and sends the exact value to the device. So the Control tab never shows a decimal during a run.
  • Docs: docs/workflows.md is updated.

Testing

  • npm run lint, npm run typecheck, npm test: 192 tests pass, including new tests for fromDisplayTemperature and decimal share links.
  • Checked in Chromium with the mocked Volcano, in °F and °C: 5° slider jumps, −/+ and saving. The °F range ends at 300 / 445 on the slider and 446 with +.
  • The existing e2e suite was not run. Not tested on a real Volcano yet: please confirm that a target such as 187.8 °C is accepted.

The step editor moved in 5 °C steps, which is 9 °F in Fahrenheit mode,
so common targets fell between two positions. It now uses 1 °C steps
(about 2 °F), the same as the Control tab's −/+ buttons. Steps stay
whole °C, as the device reads and the share links expect.

1 °C slider steps made the slider fiddly with 80 positions. The slider
jumps in 5 °C steps again, and hold-to-repeat −/+ buttons next to the
value fine-tune in 1 °C steps (about 2 °F), like the Control tab. Works
the same in °C and °F, since steps stay whole °C.

The step editor now works in the device unit: 5° slider jumps and −/+
for single degrees, in °C and in °F. To keep every whole °F exact,
steps store °C with up to one decimal (370 °F = 187.8 °C), which the
Volcano accepts. Existing workflows, files and share links stay valid,
since whole °C are still allowed; displays show whole degrees.

The °F slider ended at 445 °F, one degree short of the Volcano's
230 °C maximum. The slider's last 5° jump still lands on 445 °F, and +
reaches 446 °F.
