Summary

  • A list says what it is for with kind: todo, checklist (replaces recurring: true) or calendar.
  • A calendar keeps its entries in date order, and each leaves the night after its date.
  • The archivist puts the dates from a letter on the family calendar, for the people it names, linked back to it.

A list says what it is for with `kind` in its frontmatter, the family
memory's field for the variant of a type: `todo` (the default, left
out) or `checklist`. A checklist keeps its ticks until it is reset, as
`recurring: true` did. One field instead of a flag per behaviour, so
the calendar list can be the third kind.

`stack memory list create` and `set` take `--kind`, and Stacky can
start a checklist or turn a list into one. A kind the list does not
know is refused, naming the ones it does.
A list of `kind: calendar` holds appointments: its entries stay in date
order with the next one on top, and each leaves for the archive the
night after its date, ticked or not. A to-do past its due date stays,
since a missed deadline is still something to do.

An entry on a calendar needs its date: `stack memory list add` refuses
one without `--due`, so Stacky asks for it. `stack memory list show`
names a list's kind, and Stacky can start a calendar.
A school letter, an appointment confirmation or a booking named its
dates only in the document's facts, where no list or reminder saw
them. The classifier now returns the events someone in the family may
attend, apart from deadlines and payments, and the archivist puts each
one on the family's calendar list: in date order, assigned to the
people the letter names, linked back to it. A date already past stays
off.

The calendar is the family's list of `kind: calendar`; when there is
none, the archivist starts one (Dates, Termine in German). A letter's
dates go on once, and the same event on another date is a new entry.
