Summary

  • ADR-014: the archivist keeps its job on every Mac (fast, deterministic, 16 GB) and steps back where the agent (optional, 32 GB) is a member of the room: it still answers when addressed, acts on reactions and takes corrections in its own threads, and leaves conversation to the agent.
  • Stepping back is staged with what the agent can handle: messages addressed to the agent first, then voice memos, images, and pastes and links as the agent gains hearing, vision and filing tools.
  • Grounded in a walkthrough with both bots in a topic room: both acted on one reply, and a spoken request to the agent was filed as a note. No code changes.

The archivist and the agent both read conversation rooms, each deciding
on its own whether a message is for it. A walkthrough with both in a
topic room showed both acting on one reply, a spoken request to the
agent filed as a note, and an agent that neither hears voice nor sees
images.

ADR-014 keeps the archivist's job on every Mac and has it step back
where the agent is a member: it still answers when addressed, acts on
reactions and takes corrections in its own threads, and leaves
conversation to the agent, growing with what the agent can handle.
