Hi there, I'm Evans Juma 👋

Software Developer at Zone01 Kisumu — where we build things from the ground up and understand the why behind every line of code.

I'm currently deep in backend systems and fintech engineering, working on production-grade banking infrastructure in Go.

🔭 What I'm building

  • Fintech Labs — A mobile banking system built from scratch in Go. Covers ledger design, atomic transactions, M-Pesa integration, role-based access control, and audit trails.

  • Backend systems in Go — REST APIs, middleware, session management, atomic DB transactions
  • Fintech infrastructure — ledgers, double-entry bookkeeping, payment integrations
  • Low-level systems — rebuilding Unix commands like ls from scratch, custom algorithm implementation
  • Blockchain — built NGOKit, an SDK for NGO donation transparency on Polygon Amoy
  • Bitcoin development — Bitcoin Core, Lightning Network (LND), JSON-RPC tooling
