Elestio Skill

Agent skill for Elestio, following the Agent Skills open format.

Deploy and manage services on the Elestio DevOps platform. 400+ open-source templates, 10 cloud providers, 100+ regions.

Uses the official Elestio CLI (npm install -g elestio, version 1.4.0 or later), or the tools of the Elestio MCP connector when an agent has it: SKILL.md maps every command to its MCP tool.

Installation

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/elestio/elestio-skill/main/scripts/install.sh | bash

You can also install via skills.sh:

npx skills add elestio/elestio-skill

Supports Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, and Cursor. Re-run to update.

The installer will:

  1. Install the official Elestio CLI globally (npm install -g elestio)
  2. Copy SKILL.md to your agent's skills directory

Manual Installation

Copy to your agent's skills directory
# 1. Install the official Elestio CLI
npm install -g elestio

# 2. Copy the skill file
# Claude Code
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/elestio
cp SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/elestio/

# Codex
mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills/elestio
cp SKILL.md ~/.codex/skills/elestio/

Quick Start

# Configure credentials
elestio login --email "you@example.com" --token "your_api_token"

# Verify authentication
elestio auth test

# Search the catalog
elestio templates search postgresql

# Deploy PostgreSQL on its own VM
elestio deploy postgresql --project 112 --name my-db

# Deploy a PostgreSQL cluster (1 primary + 2 replicas, billed per VM): dry-run first
elestio deploy postgresql --cluster --nodes 3 --project 112 --dry-run

# Grow it by one node later (copies the primary)
elestio clusters add-node <clusterID> --dry-run

# Run catalog software on a CI/CD target, configured from its elestio.yml
elestio deploy CI-CD-Target --project 112 --name my-cicd
elestio cicd deploy-template vaultwarden --target <vmID>

# Run your own GitHub repo on a CI/CD target
elestio cicd create --auto --target <vmID> --name my-app --repo owner/repo --mode github

Never use cicd create for catalog software: it knows nothing about the software's ports and environment variables, and the pipeline comes up empty.
