Automatic chat popups broken after early March 2026 game update

Before the latest system shutdown on the 4th of March 2026, the chat would stay hidden and it would automatically pop up when you would interact with the GE, giving you the "search" window. The same used to happen when you would craft items, make potions or went to take the ingots in blasting furnace. Now, after the update, the chat no longer pops up automatically in these instances and you have to open the chat manually everytime and close it back. Pls help :(

I have the same problem, i have notice it happens with inventory full pop up notifications or kitten interactions so far

My chatbox wont popup on its own, say with a "destroy X item" you get a yes / no screen. Or when salvaging "inventory is too full"
Also if i open the chatbox, pressing ANY key will close it immediatly and most of the time not even register, so cant type with plugin enabled. Almost unplayable depending on content ur doing - if need chatbox to make pots or anything you just cant

Has there been any update on when this will be fixed? Is the developer even working on it? Im thinking of uninstalling because its almost been a month.

Hey, yall I left a comment in the discord a few days ago, here's the workaround I found, you can also look up the message in the Runelite discord to see the screenshot I attached. Until this addon is fixed, this alternative is really seamless.

use "Fixed Resizable Hybrid" plugin and set your game client layout in settings to "Resizable classic layout"
