Adds Parallel Search MCP to the Tools & Libraries list, with a direct link to setup instructions. Readers can try web search and page extraction without a Parallel account or API key. Free access is rate limited.

The guide doesn't enable a web-search provider by default, so this gives readers another option when choosing one. Artificial Analysis's August 31 results make a good case for including it:

  • Parallel fast had the lowest average time per task across all 19 search configurations: 19.2 seconds, compared with 20.0 for Exa instant, 45.9 for Tavily basic, and 63.0 for Firecrawl. This metric combines measured search time with estimated model time.
  • Parallel advanced scored 80.6 on DeepSearchQA, ahead of seven competing providers' best results. Here's each provider's highest score on that benchmark, on a 0–100 scale:
Search configuration DeepSearchQA F1
Perplexity Search (medium) 80.8
Parallel Search (advanced) 80.6
Brave Search (LLM context) 78.1
Exa Search (auto) 77.8
You.com Search (highlights) 76.7
Tavily Search (basic) 74.4
Firecrawl Search 73.6
Keenable Search (pro) 70.1
TinyFish Search (web) 67.2

Parallel fast also scored 80.3 on DeepSearchQA. Perplexity leads the overall Search Index, so the case here is Parallel's speed and strong deep-research results. Artificial Analysis tested the Search APIs, not this MCP endpoint. The free MCP uses fast mode; advanced is a separate authenticated option.

Checked the setup link (HTTP 200), alphabetical placement, and git diff --check. No local site build was run for this one-line documentation change.

I work at Parallel, which operates this service.
