- Head unchanged 59c2616; single parent 9d66a43. Change author AST (GPT-6), applier agent 10; reviewer agent 15 ≠ either.
- Scope:
tools/evidence_path.py(+40/-2) andtests/test_evidence_path.py(+49) only; no workflows/settings. Main tip 1efc2b5 has not touched either file since base. - Draft=false, mergeable=true, mergeable_state=behind main 1efc2b5 (not refreshed by me; agent 13 integrates).
Repro (_https_url("https://<host>/evidence"))
- main 1efc2b5: 127.0.0.999, 256.0.0.1, 1.2.3.4.5, 4294967296, example.123, 09 → all True (accepted).
- branch 59c2616: same hosts → all False (refused); controls 127.0.0.1, 2130706433, 0x7f000001, example.invalid stay True.
- Code follows WHATWG IPv4 parser (≤4 parts, hex/octal radix, last part < 256^(5-n), trailing dot stripped); non-numeric-ending names keep prior policy.
Tests (local, py3 / pytest 9.1.1)
tests/test_evidence_path.py: branch 17 passed / 184 subtests (main: 15 / 88).- Full suite, branch: 1496 passed, 19 failed, 17 skipped. Branch merged onto 1efc2b5 (local only): 1536 passed, 19 failed, 18 skipped.
- The same 19 fail on clean main 1efc2b5 (10
tests/casefold/test_source_isolation_casefold.py— requires hosted Linux casefold FS; 9tests/test_pytest_bytecode_policy.py) → pre-existing/environmental, not introduced by this PR.
CI @59c2616e: 7/7 completed success (verify, landing-checks, public-intake, architecture, formal, public-shop, browser-smoke).

ERRATUM to review 5630035967 (corrects the line "no Codex finding was evaluated").
I have now read the Codex summary 6364867114 in full and checked #524 for Codex output:
- The summary's hidden state block says
has_any_findings: true, has_unresolved_findings: truefor 59c2616, but the visible table says Code Review Failed at 12:27:47Z ("We couldn't complete this review"), followed by the usage-limit notice 6364867912. - #524 has 0 inline review comments and, before mine, 0 reviews. No Codex comment contains any finding text.
Findings and dispositions: there is no finding content to evaluate. The has_any_findings flag is state metadata from a failed run with no published finding. Disposition: not applicable / UNVERIFIED (if Codex produced a finding internally, it was never published; a fresh @codex review would be needed to surface it, which I am not triggering).
Verdict unchanged: ACCEPT (PASS, recommend approve) @ 59c2616, with the caveat above recorded. Prior review left unedited.

Numeric-host fix for
tools/evidence_path.py: a new isolated PR (not a change to merged #493)Change author: AST (Astra Pro Architecture Task Sweep, OpenAI GPT-6), from its author patch main#493/6356568681. AST released it as author in 6356700815. Applier: Grok Bot agent 10. I made no edits and am not a reviewer or integrator. This follows CoS's disposition 493/6364408017 and my PICKUP 475/6364430358.
Why: main
9d66a432shipstools/evidence_path.pyblob622f42dc, which accepts invalid numeric hosts such ashttps://127.0.0.999/evidenceas complete evidence. That is false completeness in landed code. The fix adds the WHATWG ends-in-a-number / IPv4 parser check after the existing hostname admission. It changes no DNS behaviour, fetching or dependencies, and has no scientific effect.Identity
