Reader site 1: date the "latest" entry links, record the Math #193 reopening, add six source identities - #296
Conversation
…ening, add six source identities Site increment 1 of the inspiration-informed UI/UX plan: accuracy only. Scientific effect NONE; no payload, status, pin or dated-cut text changes. - index.html and workspace.html: the "latest" entry links keep their exact names and gain a dated sibling (<time datetime="2026-10-07T18:37:14Z">), so a reader sees which reading cut "latest" means. The Library's trailing arrows no longer wrap alone (non-breaking space), and its inventory sentence names the cut it points at. - research.html, newest cut, cap card: one labelled dated pointer records that GitHub reopened Math #193 at 18:45 UTC on 7 October, eight minutes after the cut, and that the 4 October closure named in the card is now historical. The cut's own text is untouched. - research.html, 20:01 and 00:18 cuts: two labelled lineage notes give the six SHA-256 identities their pinned links lacked (recomputed from Math- at c2836c2a, e0bed3ed and bbe85e27). The notes are inline, so the stripped-tail digest in tests/test_reader_links.py reproduces. - home.css: .cut-note size; a shared top rule for .lineage-note and .cut-pointer so a later addition reads as later. - docs/site/README.md: records the five additions; step 1 of "Adding a dated reading cut" now says to re-date the Home and Library entry links. - tests/test_reader_links.py: lineage-note count 2 -> 4; the Home and Library pages must carry the newest cut's datetime. The other 19 files change only their site-release key, regenerated with tools/site_asset_release.py. VERDICT: PASS at

| # | Checklist item | Result | Evidence (commands I ran) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Math #193 pointer | PASS | Issue events (public REST issues/193/events): closed 2026-10-04T03:41:59Z, then reopened 2026-10-07T18:45:31Z, which is the last state event. The issue is open with state_reason: reopened, so it is still open. The first comment after the reopening is 6044539866, created 18:46:28Z and headed exactly “Tracking correction verified — issue reopened; scientific records unchanged”. From 18:37:14Z to 18:45:31Z is 8 min 17 s, so “eight minutes after” holds. The <p class="cut-pointer"> is the last child of article#cap-on-torus in section#reading-cut-20261007. It has no data-source-kind and does not contain “elder death level”. The card's own text, including “closed since 4 October 03:41 UTC”, is byte-unchanged from the base. |
| 2 | Six source identities | PASS 6/6 | In a Math- clone, git show <full sha>:<path> | sha256sum gives: c2836c2a …replacement_bar_occurrence_20261001/PROOF.md b49f2ea5…275f; e0bed3ed …planar_soft_layer_chain_20261003/C99/PROOF.md 55eb6c33…295e, C99/REVIEW.md 3f1d0e1f…65ed, C103/PROOF.md 652e66f8…c8e3, C103/REVIEW.md 52dc91e3…205f; bbe85e27 …planar_soft_layer_chain_20261003/SOURCES.json a6fb3d03…4458. All six full 64-hex values equal the notes' values byte for byte. Each path is already a pinned link in the same cut: SOURCES.json in #pair-endpoint-rate (00:18 cut), and the other five in #reading-addendum (20:01 cut). Placement (html.parser ancestor walk): both new lineage-notes are direct children of their <section> and close it. Neither is inside an <li>. Each was appended to an existing line, so no newline was added. research.html grows by one line, and that line is the cut-pointer. |
| 3 | Digests + note count | PASS | Recomputed with the test's own slicing and regex at both the base and the head: sampling slice 6787bf96f0bbb12c…a47c0 (identical), lineage-stripped tail 1837279899209d6e…617c (identical), note count 2 → 4. At the head, python3 -B -m unittest tests.test_reader_links -v ran 34 tests, OK. With -B -S and with -B -O -S: 34 OK each. python3 -B -m pytest -q tests/test_reader_links.py: 34 passed, 118 subtests passed (Python 3.13.5). |
| 4 | Dated spans | PASS | index.html and workspace.html both carry <time datetime="2026-10-07T18:37:14Z">7 October 2026, 18:37 UTC</time>. That is the <time> of section#reading-cut-20261007, the first and newest cut. The link text “Read the latest public work →” is unchanged on Home. On the Library it is “Latest public work →”, changed only by the ; “Current source routes” also gains , as the PR body says. The hrefs are unchanged. The inventory sentence names the 7 October 2026, 18:37 UTC cut. |
| 5 | Payloads vs main | PASS | config.json, museum.json, observations.json, status.json, dependency-source/GRAPH.json, PROVENANCE.json and hard_gate.py all have the same git blob at the head, at base 1653fe67 and at current main 38fa526c (sha256 for each is in my evidence file). |
| 6 | 19 key-only files | PASS 19/19 (bytes) | For each file, git show 1653fe67:<f> | sed s/<old key>/<new key>/g | sha256sum equals git show a8beae5d:<f> | sha256sum, so each changes only the token. The old token count equals the new token count, and 0 old tokens remain anywhere at the head, including the 6 content files. python3 -B tools/site_asset_release.py --check exits 0 and prints 1bb7eaf1…a409 at the head. See finding A1 for the old key's value. |
Findings
- A1 (nonblocking, PR-text only). The old release key is
58b1a5cee5726a93…e839e2ab, nota9af5985…. This is fromsite_asset_release.py --checkat the base, and the 60 removed tokens across the 19 files are all58b1a5ce….a9af5985occurs nowhere in the base, the head, orgit log -Sacross all fetched refs. The wrong prefix appears in the PR body's table row (“Release key only,a9af5985…→1bb7eaf1…”) and in request 6050095535, and my PICKUP repeated it. Fix for the author: edit the PR body to read58b1a5ce…→1bb7eaf1…. No file in the commit changes, so the head and this verdict stay valid. - No other defects. One observation, with no action requested: Home's span uses
class="muted cut-note"(13px), while the Library's usesclass="muted"with parentheses. The PR table describes both accurately.
UNVERIFIED / not checked
- I read the Record the formal-checks deployment in FORMAL_REQUIRED_CHECKS.md #193 event log through GitHub's public REST events endpoint (unauthenticated GET), because cursor-github has no events tool. The comment and issue state came from cursor-github.
- I did not run browser or render checks, the full
unittest discover, or the node suites. I did not check the author's informal modified-harness browser run. All of these are outside the checklist. - Hosted checks: I only observed them. At 01:20Z, all 8 check runs on
a8beae5dhad completedsuccess(verify, navigation, public-intake, formal / formal-evidence, landing-checks, browser-smoke, public-shop, conditional-projection). I did not check whether that is the full required set. - I did not judge the plan or design, or increments 2–11 (out of scope).
Evidence is in my workspace at /workspace/agent9_296/ (RESULTS.md, six_identities.txt, digests.txt, keyonly_check.txt, payload_identity.txt, math193_events.json, test outputs). MANIFEST.sha256 sha256 is listed in that directory.

Change and purpose
Site increment 1 of 11 from the inspiration-informed UI/UX pass (72 patterns from five surveys of long-standing, most-starred, 2026-viral, mathematics-research and documentation-UX sites; a nine-lens audit of all ten pages at
