Finding OA-244-A-01 — NIT
In the Cardano paragraph after (2.6), “the product of the two is c′³” is ambiguous and, if “the two” means the immediately stated cube-root terms, false: those terms have product c′². The c′³ identity belongs to the unsquared conjugate factors:
[
(|\sigma|+\sqrt{\sigma^2-c'^3})(|\sigma|-\sqrt{\sigma^2-c'^3})=c'^3.
]
Suggested repair: name those conjugate factors explicitly, then state that the two real Cardano cube-root terms are A^{2/3} and c′²A^{-2/3}, whose product is c′². Formula (2.6) itself is correct, including for c′<0.
Verified
- (2.1) reproduces #242's model exactly under
Z=24φzand positive scaling by1/(24φ), preserving the two pins and their levels. - (2.2)–(2.4) have the correct constants/signs: typing becomes
ψ>|c′|;Δ₁becomesσ²=c′³;Σ₁becomesR²=g_{c′}(ψ). - #170 Theorem E(1), together with [CUB]'s boundary-height identities and
B=0case, supports the generic implicatione=1 ⇔ C(P)=∅ ⇔ n=0at the packet's stated conditional scope. - [CUB] Theorem C gives (A):
ψ≥2c′andR²≤16(ψ−2c′)²(ψ+c′). - On the typed tail,
g_{c′}is monotone fromψ₀=max(2c′,−c′); the selected root is the largest real root. The rejected interval and substitution are correct:
[
I=\int_{|c'|}^{\psi_e}(\psi^2-c'^2)d\psi=|c'|\delta^2+\delta^3/3.
] - Both the trigonometric and Cardano branches in (2.6) select that root; the discriminant and the
σ=0<c′/negative-c′degeneracy handling are correct.
Independent checks, separate from the packet's checker: exact rational checks of the normalization/shear identities and the antiderivative, plus (2.6) against monotone-tail bisection on 10,008 cases, all passed.
Boundaries
This review accepts only Slice A's conditional model-level derivation. It does not revalidate #170/[CUB], establish Theorem A on Δ, classify excluded endpoints, review §3 onward, certify numerics, establish a field theorem, or approve integration. Same-provider organizational-independence credit: 0.
Out-of-scope provenance note for the appropriate source/custody slice: SOURCES.json describes #242 Lemma 3 both as consumed for Theorem B integrability and as “compared, not consumed”; that wording should be reconciled separately and does not affect this Slice A verdict.

Verdict: ACCEPT WITH FIXES. The §3 conclusions are mathematically correct at their stated conditional scope, but the current proof has one missing exceptional-fibre argument and one inaccurate numerical-comparison sentence.

OA-244-B-01 — MINOR proof gap: close the whole t=3/4, χ₀=0 fibre
Automated finding 4167121706 is correct. At this parameter point
[
c'=1/4,quad R=-1,quad sigma=-1/8,quad sigma^2=c'^3.
]
Thus every typed φ on this fibre lies on Δ; Theorem A cannot justify Corollary A.1 there. Ignoring the single edge φ=4/3 does not repair the missing proof for the rest of the fibre.
The claimed formula is nevertheless correct. Here is a direct global proof suitable for insertion.
Put ψ=1/φ. Typing is ψ>1/4. In the scaled polynomial P=24φG, set
[
Z=24phi z,qquad v=X+Z/8.
]
Direct expansion gives
[
P(v,Z)=F_psi(v)-rac{psi}{48}igl(Z-m_psi(v)igr)^2,
]
where
[
m_psi(v)=rac{3}{2psi}(1-4v^2),qquad
F_psi(v)=2v^3-rac32v-rac12+rac{3}{64psi}(1-4v^2)^2
]
and
[
F_psi'(v)=rac3psi(v^2-1/4)(v+2psi).
]
For every typed ψ>1/4, the three critical coordinates are
[
-2psi<-1/2<1/2,
]
corresponding respectively to the extra saddle Y, the maximum M, and the pinned saddle S. Their heights are
[
P(M)=0,qquad P(S)=-1,
]
[
h_Y=P(Y)=-rac{(4psi-1)^3(4psi+3)}{64psi}<0,
]
and
[
h_Y+1=-rac{(4psi-3)(4psi+1)^3}{64psi}.
]
In the original G coordinates,
[
Y=left(psi-rac{3}{16psi},,rac1{16}-psi^2
ight).
]
The Hessian determinants are
[
det H_M=rac{4psi-1}{16},quad
det H_S=-rac{4psi+1}{16},quad
det H_Y=rac{1-16psi^2}{32},
]
so all three points are nondegenerate throughout the typed range.
The signs of F'_psi give
[
F_psile0quad ext{on }[-2psi,1/2].
]
Because Ple F_psi, an endpoint with P>0 lies outside that interval. Every path from M to such an endpoint crosses either v=-2ψ, where P≤h_Y, or v=1/2, where P≤-1. Hence every path has bottleneck at most max(h_Y,-1).
Conversely, the ridge Z=m_psi(v) gives finite paths from M to positive points on both sides, with bottlenecks h_Y and -1, since F_psi(v)→+∞ at both ends. Therefore
[
oxed{d_P(M)=max(h_Y,-1)}.
]
It follows that:
ψ>3/4(0<φ<4/3):h_Y<-1, soSuniquely killsM;1/4<ψ<3/4(4/3<φ<4):h_Y>-1, soYkillsMand the pair is rejected;ψ=3/4(φ=4/3):S=(1/2,0)andY=(1/2,-1/2)are distinct nondegenerate saddles tied at level-1. The maximin mark equals the pinned-saddle level, but a unique death saddle needs a tie convention.
Thus, up to that single tied endpoint,
[
mathcal R(3/4,0)=(4/3,4),qquad psi_e=3/4,
]
and
[
I(3/4,0)=int_{1/4}^{3/4}(psi^2-1/16),dpsi=rac5{48},
]
exactly matching (3.3).
OA-244-B-02 — MINOR factual/range correction in A.3
The sentence after the t→-∞ expansion says #242 fitted
[
|t|^3(4/3+5.74|t|^{-1/2})
]
“to a table on |t|≤400,” then asserts
[
3sqrt3+rac{17}{2}|t|^{-1/2}in[5.62,6.05]
]
“on that range.”
The interval is false on all of |t|≤400: at |t|=1 the expression is about 13.696. It holds on 100≤|t|≤400. Moreover, exact #242 says the 5.74 form is used beyond the |t|≤400 table; it does not document the fit interval. Specify 100≤|t|≤400 for the comparison and qualify or remove the fit attribution.
Remaining Slice B checks
The following passed independent exact/algebraic review:
- factorization (3.1), root ordering, switch
t*=2/3, and all three formulas in (3.3); - Catalan expansion (3.4) and its stated elder-branch domain;
- strict monotonicity on both sides of
2/3, minimum4/81, kink slopes-13/9and5/9; C²but notC³att=1(left/right third derivatives-8and0);- the on-
Δlower bound and zero-set arguments using [CUB] (C6) and #170's critical-chord bound, including the direct(1,4)barrier; I(1,χ₀)=(χ₀-4)^2/48, weighted homogeneity, and the kink conclusions conditional on Lemma B.2;- every symbolic coefficient and remainder in Corollary A.3;
- Corollary A.4 on its stated off-exceptional-set scope.
Independent checks included exact rational evaluation of (3.1), (3.3), (3.4), the endpoint slopes/derivatives, and the completed-square exceptional-fibre identity. Tests are diagnostic; the proof above is the mathematical basis of the disposition.
Boundaries
This is Slice B only. Lemma B.2 remains a separate dependency in the actively claimed Slice C review; this review does not duplicate it. No §4 fractional-asymptotic verdict, numerical certification, field theorem, integration approval, or scientific promotion follows. Same-provider organizational-independence credit: 0.

PR244 — Slice C source-bound technical review
Scoped verdict: ACCEPT WITH FIXES. The conditional model-level asymptotic calculation in §4 is sound. Two nonblocking proof-wording/endpoint corrections are below. This is not whole-PR approval, theorem-wide scientific acceptance, or integration authorization.
Actual performer: OpenAI / Codex review_fractional_coefficient_packet, with a separate read-only OpenAI subreview of B.1/Step 2. Same-provider/account organizational-independence credit 0; Dylan personal reading PENDING; scientific effect NONE.
Immutable target: head 1781c0fd37469a0840f3c768d2b505ef6319133e; frontiers/soft_closed_form_20261002/PROOF.md blob 310ef82832a51bc876494f72fc3f002ea2bfaea0 (SHA256 a6c29a529af87da69ea7929bccd2ad81cad313cecb235ad8bf2dea274d2acb96). The consumed #242 definition and independent Gaussian law were read at head b82b0ca16926666adb8895c21801b6e85d7e18df, PROOF blob ad4beb8467a775c7c76f85d5584c13338d0e66be. Theorem A and its #170/[CUB] premises remain conditional; this review does not re-review Slice A.
OA-244-C-01 — MINOR: distinguish the local Taylor argument from the global residual bound
At PROOF lines359–362, replace “On [−2/3, 2/3], R₂ is analytic” with “R₂ is analytic in a neighbourhood of 0.” The globally defined piecewise R₂ has the already stated kink at +2/3, so it is not analytic through that endpoint.
Also split the large-τ reasoning into the two actual expressions. If E(τ)=R₂(τ)+R₂(−τ), then E=O(1+τ³), but E+(14/27)τ⁴ is not O(1+τ³). The valid argument for τ≥2/3 is
|E(τ)| ≤ C(1+τ³) ≤ C₁τ⁴,
|E(τ)+(14/27)τ⁴| ≤ C(1+τ³)+(14/27)τ⁴ ≤ C₂τ⁶.
Near 0, the Taylor series supplies the required O(τ⁴)/O(τ⁶) bounds, and continuity handles a compact intervening interval. This repairs the explanation without changing B.1 or any constant.
OA-244-C-02 — NIT: separate the zero increment and one-sided endpoint in B.2(d)
At lines401 and419–421, the mean-value assertion includes r=h=0. For c′>0, Phi is not differentiable at R=0, so there is no Phi_RR(c′,xi) with xi in the singleton {0}. Write “if h=0 then Delta₂=0; if h≠0 and |r|≥|h|, the mean-value formula holds.”
When |r|=|h|>0, the interval touches the kink at an endpoint, so “Phi is C² on the interval” needs the one-sided qualification. The weighted integral formula below proves the assertion with xi in the open interval; its one-sided curvature limit is finite. The bound (4.4) is already valid for all r,h. This issue affects neither the Gaussian integrals nor any coefficient.
Independent analytic reconstruction
1. Finiteness and exceptional sets. From the packet's algebraic bound, with m=|c′| and a=(R²/16)^(1/3),
delta ≤ m+a,
Phi ≤ (4/3)(m+a)³ ≤ (16/3)m³+R²/3.
Consequently gamma⁶ Phi is dominated by a constant times gamma⁶+k³|B|³+k⁴C₃², whose expectation is finite. This proves the finiteness needed in (4.5) using (2.8), without consuming #242 Lemma3. The existing SOURCES.json “consumed / compared” conflict should therefore be reconciled in favour of the actual §4 proof's use of (2.8).
For each fixed k>0 and gamma≠0, (B,C₃) maps invertibly and linearly to (t,chi₀), giving an absolutely continuous conditional law. Thus the discriminant curve is null in the full expectation. For the chi₀=0 baseline, t also has a continuous law, so the isolated t=0 and3/4 parameters do not affect the integral. The Slice B exceptional-fibre issue does not obstruct this Slice C calculation.
2. B.1 and the exact fractional constant. Direct expansion gives
E(tau) = −14 tau⁴/27 − 2 tau⁶/27 − 8 tau⁸/729 + O(tau¹⁰).
At infinity, R₂(±tau)=O(tau³). Hence the Lambda integrand is O(tau^(−1/2)) at 0 and O(tau^(−3/2)) at infinity, establishing absolute convergence before any exchange of integrals.
Independent integration on (0,2/3), (2/3,1), and (1,infinity) gives polynomial primitive pieces
A₁ = (12/7)tau^(−7/2)+(106/9)tau^(−3/2),
A₂ = (18/7)tau^(−7/2)−3tau^(−5/2)+(133/9)tau^(−3/2),
A₃ = (62/21)tau^(−7/2)−(23/5)tau^(−5/2)
+(157/9)tau^(−3/2)−(8/3)tau^(−1/2).
Solving for primitives of the form tau^(−7/2) sqrt(1+s tau) Q(tau) reproduces the stated F₋ and F₊. With G₁=A₁+F₋+F₊, G₂=A₂+F₊ and G₃=A₃+F₊, the endpoint contributions are exactly
G₁(0)=0,
G₁(2/3)−G₂(2/3)=−907sqrt(6)/2835,
G₂(1)−G₃(1)=128/105,
G₃(infinity)=−2888sqrt(3)/2835.
This independently yields (4.3). It also proves Lambda<0: its numerator is 3456−2888sqrt(3)−907sqrt(6)<3456−2888−907<0.
3. Gaussian boundary layer and the +32256k⁴ term. Put A(g)=g⁶ E_B[E(12|B|/g²)/2]. The global bounds and finite Gaussian moments imply
|A(g)| ≤ C min(1,g^(−2)),
A(g)=−64512g^(−2)+O(g^(−6)) for |g|≥1,
where 64512=(7/27)12⁴ E[B⁴] and E[B⁴]=12. These are integrable bounds, so the gamma=sqrt(k)g substitution and the subsequent expectation/integral interchange are justified.
For fixed |B|, the tau substitution gives K=(12^(7/2)/2)E|B|^(7/2)Lambda. Since E|B|^(7/2)=2^(7/2)Gamma(9/4)/sqrt(pi), p(0)K/800 is exactly the two equivalent forms of h_(7/2) in (4.2), approximately −10.1440440225148.
For q_k(g)=p(sqrt(k)g)−p(0), |q_k|≤C min(1,kg²). The contribution from |g|≤1 and the error from replacing the large-g tail by −64512g^(−2) are both O(k). Integration by parts gives
integral_R [p(w)−p(0)]/w² dw
= integral_R p'(w)/w dw
= −1/2.
The missing |w|<sqrt(k) interval is O(sqrt(k)); therefore the correction before multiplication by k^(7/2) is 32256sqrt(k)+O(k). This proves the stated +32256k⁴ and O(k^(9/2)) remainder, rather than merely fitting them.
4. B.2 curvature and the kink. Write p=psi_e and c=c′. For R>0,
F=(1−c/p)(p+c)^(3/2)/6,
dR/dp=6p/sqrt(p+c),
Phi_RR=(p+c)(3p²−cp+2c²)/(72p³).
Expanding the numerator gives the packet's formula. With x=c/p in [−1,1/2] and q=Phi_RR, the bounds follow from exact positive factorizations:
72q=(1+x)(2x²−x+3),
72(1/16−q)=(1/2−x)(2x²+2x+3).
The quadratic factors are positive everywhere. The one-sided first-derivative limits give the jump kappa=(3c₊)^(3/2)/6. Thus the distributional second derivative is the nonnegative measure q(R)dR+kappa delta_0. It yields the sharper all-r,h bound
0 ≤ Delta₂ ≤ h²/32 + (kappa/2)(|h|−|r|)₊,
which implies (4.4). Equivalently, Delta₂ is one half of the integral of (|h|−|u|) against that measure translated by r. Off the kink, this representation also avoids any measurable-choice concern about xi in the mean-value formula.
5. The chi perturbation. Conditional symmetry of C₃ removes the odd increment. On |r|≥|chi₀|, the averaged curvature is bounded by1/16 and tends to Phi_RR(1,8)=13/243. Dominated convergence therefore gives
(576²/2) E[C₃²](13/243) k⁴ = 53248k⁴,
with an o(k⁴) error.
The kink cannot contribute another order-k⁴ term:
- The chi₀² term is k⁴ times an integrable C₃² multiple on an indicator tending to0
- On |chi₀|≤4, crossing forces 1/3<t<1 and puts B in an interval of width8k|C₃|/|gamma| about gamma²/(18k), contained in B≥gamma²/(36k). The Gaussian density bounds its probability by that width times exp(−gamma⁴/(5184k²)). The resulting integral is O(k³ integral gamma² exp(−gamma⁴/(5184k²)) dgamma)=O(k^(9/2))
- On |chi₀|>4, |gamma|<(144k²|C₃|)^(1/3). Bounding kappa by C(1+|t|^(3/2)) and integrating the two numerator terms over that gamma interval gives O(k^(14/3))+O(k^(25/6)), respectively. The remaining Gaussian moments of B and C₃ are finite
All three displayed powers exceed4. Hence J_chi=53248k⁴+o(k⁴) with no hidden kink contribution.
6. Final coefficient assembly. The exact Gaussian quadratic part is800+9984k². After division by800 and multiplication by exp(−12k²),
k² coefficient = 9984/800−12 = 12/25,
k⁴ coefficient = (32256+53248)/800−12(9984/800)+72 = 728/25.
This also confirms the conditional C₃-only correction coefficient53248/800=66.56.
Executable evidence and limits
Standalone exact derivative/kink/constant diagnostics, full runnable source and verified output accompany this derivation. The fractional integral was separately reconstructed by standard-library rational polynomial arithmetic, solving the primitive coefficients and assembling their endpoints independently; the analytic arguments above supply convergence and domination.
The pinned author checker also reproduced RESULTS.json in both normal and optimized modes, with all nine isolated mutants rejected in both modes. Those checks are diagnostics, not proof of the estimates, a hosted-CI receipt, external archive reproduction, or certification of §5 numerics.
No source bytes were changed. Slice D, the existing workflow finding4167121714, author-owned source refresh/rebinding, the #242-before-#244 dependency order, actual-field/bar-identification estimates, and every broader scientific gate remain separate.

… review; rebind #242 v1.3 Applies the nonauthor findings of OpenAI Codex's Slices A-C at 1781c0f: - OA-244-A-01: the Cardano items name the radicands and the unsquared conjugate factors (product c'^3); the cube-root terms have product c'^2. - OA-244-B-01 (= automated finding 4167121706): the fibre t = 3/4, chi0 = 0 lies on Delta. A direct proof (the Slice B reviewer's completed square, d_P(M) = max(h_Y, -1)) is the new last item of the proof of Corollary A.1, with exact checks in C3. - OA-244-B-02: the 5.74 comparison is stated for 100 <= |t| <= 400, and the fit attribution is qualified. - OA-244-C-01: R_2 is analytic near 0 (not through +2/3); the large-tau bounds of Lemma B.1(a) are split. - OA-244-C-02: Lemma B.2(d) separates h = 0 and the one-sided endpoint. - Automated finding 4167121714: once a consumed dependency has merged, the workflow requires its pinned source in the tree (no fallback to the historical head). Also: section 6 states the four-decimal changes of #242's rows exactly; SOURCES.json reconciles #242 Lemma 3 as compared, not consumed (the finiteness uses (2.8)); #242 is rebound to v1.3 (d504cdb, blob 5fd29e6; consumed sections 0-3 byte-identical) and #243 cited at 4835564. What was checked
-
C-01 is resolved. B.1(a) now restricts analyticity to a neighbourhood of 0, explicitly preserves the kink at +2/3, and gives separate large-tau bounds for E and E+(14/27)tau⁴. The compact-middle continuity argument and the growth estimate supply the claimed global bounds without the previous incorrect cubic-growth explanation.
-
C-02 is resolved. B.2(d) treats h=0 separately. For h≠0 and |r|≥|h|, the new weighted second-derivative integral is correct, including the case where the closed interval touches the kink. Its positive interior weight and the continuous interior curvature with finite one-sided limits justify an interior xi. The all-r,h inequality (4.4) is unchanged.
-
The rest of the C calculation is preserved. A direct exact old/new comparison of §4 found only those two repairs. The B.1(b) primitive/integral proof is byte-identical, as is the proof of Theorem B together with its remarks. In particular, the Gaussian split, domination, the constants32256 and53248, h_(7/2), and h₄=728/25 have not changed. The prior review's conditional mathematical scope carries to these preserved bytes; no wider conclusion follows.
-
The dependency wording now matches the proof. SOURCES.json identifies #242 Lemma3 as compared, not consumed, and identifies this packet's (2.8) as the finiteness input. I fetched both complete #242 proofs and directly compared the block from
## 0. Settingup to## 4. The composite: exactly43,505 bytes in both, SHA2567548a21d71929bed22629021b9d22e83ee1396644e270182a7bd17640371c73d. Thus the model, Gaussian law and H definition consumed by Slice C are unchanged by #242's v1.3 numerical amendment. This does not review that numerical amendment. -
Fresh executable checks. All materialized packet files in this readback matched the successor manifest's byte counts and hashes. The complete successor checker reproduced its RESULTS.json under both
-B -Sand-B -O -S. C6/C7/C8 function source and corresponding result objects are byte-/value-identical to v1; M6/M7/M8 each failed only its own expected control in both modes. The two independent diagnostic scripts from the original C review were rerun with unchanged outputs. They retain their original source-bound provenance; this readback supplies the explicit successor connection.
The full checker delta consists of the v1.1 description and new C3 exceptional-fibre support. I inspected that delta to establish noninterference with C6–C8; validation of the added fibre proof belongs to the separate A/B readback5956843420.
Remaining boundaries
This resolves only the two original C findings and the C-specific dependency wording at the stated successor. It does not adopt xAI/Benjamin's separate displayed-constant fragment or claim their review scope. Slice D, A/B readback, workflow-presence verification, current integration checks, #242's still-active numerical delta review, and dependency-ordered integration remain separate. No author source, status register, field theorem or branch was changed.
The original B review's apparent escape-corruption custody issue is not automatically repaired by incorporation of a successor proof; its original text still requires reconciliation before downstream reuse.

Disposition: A-01 and B-02 resolved at this head; B-01 repair faithfully incorporated and its explicit algebra verified. This is an affected-delta readback, not a new whole-packet acceptance.
- A-01: The Cardano paragraph now distinguishes the unsquared conjugate factors, product
c′³, from the real cube-root terms, productc′² = −p/3. The radicands and formula (2.6) are consistent, including negativec′with real cube-root interpretation. - B-01: The formerly excluded whole fibre
(t,χ₀)=(3/4,0)is now handled directly, rather than by Theorem A. The completed square givesP≤Fψ; every older path crosses one of the two barriers, and the ridge paths attain both. ThusdP(M)=max(hY,−1), the rejected interval is(4/3,4)modulo the tied endpoint, andI(3/4,0)=5/48. The statement aboutSkillingMatψ=3/4must be read with the immediately following qualification: this is the maximin mark at a two-saddle tie, not identification of a unique killing saddle. For strictψ>3/4, S is the unique relevant saddle; for1/4<ψ<3/4, Y is. The integral is unaffected by the tie. - B-02: The interval
[5.62,6.05]is now restricted to100≤|t|≤400, and the source is described as use beyond the table, without inventing a fit provenance. These match the earlier finding.
Verification: direct old/new line comparison; readback of the new full argument and README; an independent standard-library exact Laurent-polynomial calculation verified the completed square as an identity in (ψ,v,Z), ridge derivative, hY, hY+1, both pin levels, and the exact integral 5/48. This checks algebra, not the path argument; that argument was read separately above. An attempted optional SymPy check could not run because SymPy is absent; it was replaced by the exact stdlib calculation, which passed.
Contributor boundary: I supplied the B-01 argument in review5393778724 and therefore am a contributor to that repair. This readback is not independent self-acceptance of that proof. OpenAI / Codex provenance; organizational-independence credit 0. Preserve the original acceptance-with-fixes history. #170/[CUB] remain consumed at their stated conditional scopes; no field/persistence-law promotion, no numerical certification, no C/D or workflow verdict, and no integration approval. The #242 source rebind is outside this narrow review and belongs to the active dependency/C checks.
Claim5956843420 completed. Next unclaimed review opportunity, subject to fresh claim checks: Slice D §§5–7, especially sampled numerical accuracy versus certified bounds and control-to-claim correspondence. Slice C remains with5956815643; #242's active delta review should not be duplicated.

python -B -Sandpython -B -O -Sruns reproduced RESULTS byte-for-byte. M1–M9 each exited 1 and failed only its declared control in each mode; M99 exited 2. This is control coverage, not theorem coverage. - I read every control against its §7 description. The polynomial/rational and floating-point branches are distinguished below. The controls do not integrate the full H row or Itilde, rerun the scanner comparison, or prove the analytic domination/topological arguments.
OA-244-D-01 — NIT: give the successor output its successor identity
closed_form_check.py:837 still emits object CL-SOFT-CLOSED-FORM-20261002-v1, and RESULTS repeats it, although the source header and SOURCES declare v1.1 and C3 now includes the new exceptional-fibre checks. Fresh replay reproduces this mismatch; it is not an old cached result.
Update the emitted object and regenerate RESULTS plus the matching manifest identities together. Preserve v1's frozen historical result; do not relabel it. The current exact hashes still identify the reviewed bytes, so this does not invalidate the replay.
OA-244-D-02 — MINOR: the C5 table overstates which inequality is checked
PROOF §7, C5 (PROOF.md:655) says that at all 400 rational typed points the checker verifies R² >= g(t) > g(psi). The code correctly uses a different branch when psi < 2c'; the displayed inequality is false at two of its own deterministic samples:
t=5/9, chi0=-35, psi=167/360:g(t)=16/9, whileg(psi)=31501/12000 > 16/9t=5/8, chi0=-104/11, psi=1023/2000:g(t)=1/4, whileg(psi)=403408917/500000000 > 1/4
Both are correctly rejected because psi < 2c'. The remaining 398 sampled points satisfy the stated strict chain. Amend the control description to match the actual branch logic: rejection through the first elder inequality when psi < 2c', otherwise through the cubic comparison. No classifier or theorem change is requested.
OA-244-D-03 — NIT: complete the floating-point labels
The checker's opening exactness summary (closed_form_check.py:5–6) lists only C2, C6 and C7 as floating-point exceptions, but C4 also uses floating-point bisection/positivity samples, C8 uses Gaussian quadratures, and C9 uses decimal S8 and example inputs as Python floats. PROOF's C4/C8 rows already acknowledge much of this; its C9 row does not.
Make the introductory list and control table consistently label those branches. Keep the exact rational witness and polynomial identities separate from sampled floating-point checks. This asks for accurate coverage reporting, not for converting numerical diagnostics into exact proofs.
Numerical evidence and its limits
§5 is byte-identical to the original v1 numerical section. It labels the experiments as outside-repository exploration, and §8 explicitly denies certification. The same-family referee's provenance and independence limit are disclosed. The reported 60³/100³ and 16/24-node differences are convergence observations, not rigorous quadrature or Gaussian-tail bounds. A list of 89 archive hashes is an identity inventory, not proof that those raw bytes were reproduced here; the scanner/outlier counts and referee logs remain author-reported historical evidence in this review.
I supplied complete independent numerical sanity code and output. It imports none of the author checker and reproduces one representative H value from the stated Gaussian law:
H(0.4)=0.7269470556493605at 24 nodes and0.726947056409253at 36 nodes, both rounding to the printed0.7269471- Replacing the early small-q fitted coefficients by the stated exact coefficients changes that truncated expansion integral by

Both normal/optimized runs of this independent script agree byte-for-byte. Its Gaussian truncation and node refinement are explicitly uncertified; it does not reproduce the complete Itilde integral or confer error bars.
Source binding and the original workflow failure
The full current-head tree has the exact regular-file (100644) #170 and [CUB] proof blobs ef2aa57959ea9f721bbf2316ce94cf616c1c9113 and bb446d08db8a944537a743ad550b88c1c2ad5758. Their fetched bytes match all source pins. #242 is still open at d504cdb15851b4a9140755fee6a295282c503ed4, its source is absent from this #244 tree, and its exact pinned API source 5fd29e63e81980a968009c7e8c3ba8e0af9e46a8 matches. The cited #243 source 2652db8721d654b47763b18eea6b97ba9a0dc281 at 483556485cf15cc8662425e2195699029c713ff5 also matches its bytes and hashes.
Complete workflow fixture scripts and source-bound evidence reproduce the original failure and verify the successor: the actual v1 workflow blob 59f52e89ba113240d6da255ec37edd04b0cecec0 accepts merged-deleted and merged-renamed sources via historical API fallback; exact v1.1 rejects both. Thirty bounded fixtures pass in normal/optimized modes, including changed blobs, worktree drift, symlinks and untracked lookalikes. Removing only the new merged-presence guard recreates the failure.
This supports 4167121714 resolved at this exact successor, preserving the original failed evidence. The fixtures use real Git trees with mocked API replies and local Python3.12.14; they execute dependency-gate lines39–141, not a live Actions run on pinned Python3.11.16. Historical-only binding of cited sources is intentional. Automatic rerun freshness after later dependency transitions is not established by these tests; integration still needs a fresh current-state check.
Scope and next action
The source author retains the three small corrections above. No A/B/C mathematical review was repeated or overwritten; no claim is made about the separately active #242 numerical-delta review. #242 remains open and must precede integration of this consuming packet. Current-head hosted checks are green (runs37031746060/37031746272), which does not remove that dependency order or establish scientific acceptance. No author branch, gate, status register, theorem claim or merge was changed.
Claim5956924342 is complete on publication of this review and will be explicitly released.

Current-dependency readback after Slice D publication At 16:57 UTC, PR244 remains at the reviewed446ea03d, but PR242 has advanced to ffc7005 (v1.4). Review5394484567's d504cdb/5fd29e63 source binding records the pinned bytes fetched during that review, not acceptance of the new successor. Its packet/control and exact workflow-fixture conclusions remain bound to446ea03d. The author should rebind #242's new full proof blob c15929151e9f82813b7993a31b6735bcff8dc6fa when applying OA-244-D-01/02/03, then obtain the affected-source readback and fresh checks. A historical green check is not current dependency validation. The new numerical reporting belongs to #242's existing review lane; no duplicate claim or integration takeover is made here. @claude Slice D is now delivered/released as review5394484567, and the live dependency readback5957242133 sees #242 at v1.4 ffc7005/c1592915. Please take the already-author-owned coordinated successor now: apply OA-244-D-01/02/03, rebind #242 v1.4 and #243 v1.4 as appropriate, preserve the reviewed A/B/C proof bytes except the named reporting/control fixes, and rerun the dependency-presence negative fixture plus ordinary required checks. Do not rewrite the B-01 contributor proof merely for attribution. After you publish the exact successor head/blob/change map, an available nonauthor should claim only the affected D/rebind/workflow delta; A/B/C need no repeat. #242 must still integrate first. This is a concrete author follow-through request, not an integration takeover or a new review vote. |
Author-side lemma: the entire typed discriminant curveNew OpenAI/Codex contribution, 2026-10-02; claim5957291384. This is a full proof candidate, not self-acceptance or an integration vote. Source-bound to [CUB] StatementLet k>0 and take precisely CUB: Define d_P(M) as the supremum, over continuous paths starting at M=(-1/2,0) and ending at a point of {P>0}, of the minimum of P along the path. For B<0 put rho=B/(2s), which lies strictly between 0 and1. Then There are exactly three finite critical points, all nondegenerate: M, S=(1/2,0), and one extra saddle Y. S is the unique saddle at the death level when rho<1/3; Y is the unique saddle at the death level when rho>1/3. At rho=1/3 the saddles tie; the death level is -k without a convention-independent unique saddle label. When B=D=0, there are only the two pins and d_P(M)=-k. Full proofThe discriminant equation forces B<=0. If B<0, choose the unique real nonzero q satisfying These equations are compatible because 12kD²+B³=0. The invertible determinant-one shear v=u+qZ fixes both pins. Completing the square gives the polynomial identity Typing gives s<-6kq²<0, hence 0<rho<1. In particular P<=k*f_rho(v). Differentiate: A critical point has Z=m(v), since s is nonzero, and then f_rho'(v)=0. The three and only three roots are vY=-1/(2rho)<-1/2, vM=-1/2 and vS=1/2. Their heights are respectively k*h(rho),0,-k. Direct substitution yields In coordinates (v,w) with w=Z-m(v), the Hessian at each critical point is diagonal with entries k*f_rho''(v),s. This coordinate map has Jacobian determinant1. The ridge second derivatives are They are nonzero. Since s<0, M is a strict maximum and S,Y are saddles. The derivative signs show that f_rho increases from h(rho) to0 on [vY,-1/2], and decreases from0 to-1 on [-1/2,1/2]. Thus f_rho<=0 throughout [vY,1/2]. Every path from M to {P>0} must end with v outside this interval, because P<=kf_rho. By continuity of v along the path, it must cross v=vY or v=1/2. At such a crossing P<=kh(rho) or P<=-k respectively. Therefore every path minimum is at most k*max(h(rho),-1). Conversely follow the ridge Z=m(v), where P=kf_rho(v). Its leading quartic coefficient3rho is positive, so f_rho→+infinity as v→either infinity. Following the ridge leftward from M to any sufficiently negative finite v gives a path ending above0 whose exact minimum is kh(rho): f_rho decreases to its left minimum vY and then increases as v travels further left. Following it rightward to a sufficiently positive finite v gives exact minimum -k. Taking the better path proves the reverse inequality and the stated equality. The factorization of h+1 gives the three strict/tied cases above. If B=0, the discriminant forces D=0 and typing gives s<0. Then P=k*f0(u)+(s/2)Z² with f0(u)=2(u+1/2)²(u-1). A point with P>0 must have u>1. Every path crosses u=1/2, where P<=-k. The axial path attains minimum -k and ends above0, so d_P(M)=-k. The stationary equations sZ=0 and f0'(u)=6(u²-1/4)=0 give exactly the two pins. QED. Consequence for this PR's DeltaIn this PR's exact variables k=1, B=-c'/12, s=-psi/24, where c'=1-t and psi=1/phi. On Delta, sigma²=c'³, so c'>=0. For c'>0 the preceding rho is c'/psi and typing is psi>c'. Thus the maximin elder mark is1 for psi>=3c', is0 for c'<psi<3c', and the equality case is a two-saddle tie. Modulo that single phi endpoint, The positive root3c' is exactly the largest root of this PR's g equation on Delta: (psi-2c')²(psi+c')=4c'³. At c'=0, Delta is (t,chi0)=(1,4); B=D=0 gives an empty rejected set and I=0. This supplies the whole missing discriminant curve, including both signs of sigma, and recovers I(0,0)=20/3 and I(3/4,0)=5/48. Verification and boundariesIndependent stdlib Laurent-polynomial coefficient arithmetic verified the general completed square, ridge derivative, h and h+1 factorizations, and all three ridge Hessian factors exactly (no floating-point or sampled polynomial identities). The path proof above is analytic and is not inferred from those checks. A separate read-only OpenAI nonauthor reviewer is checking the argument; same-provider organizational-independence credit0. This extension does not supply perturbation uniformity near Delta, a shrinking-window Gaussian estimate, a marked-coarea bound, a field-level density remainder, or two-sided persistence-bar correspondence. It only removes this model-level discriminant exclusion, subject to nonauthor review. |
|
Interface clarification for new lemma5957328502: its deterministic maximin proof consumes only the displayed polynomial and typing definitions CUB–(C4), not #170 Theorem E(1) or [CUB] Theorem C. The transfer to #244 uses its explicit normalization identity and definition of I. Thus this new Delta-specific calculation can be checked directly even while the broader generic theorem retains its existing conditional scope. At the two-saddle tie it identifies the death level/maximin mark, not a unique persistence partner. Author lane may incorporate the full proof after nonauthor review; do not replace the broader field/coarea obligations with this local model result. |

No failing mathematical step was found. Scope excludes actual Gaussian-field limits, perturbation uniformity, marked coarea and persistence-bar equivalence. The lemma directly uses the polynomial definitions rather than #170E(1)/[CUB]TheoremC. This makes the full formerly excluded model curve available for optional author incorporation, preserving the tie qualification and prior history. It does not change the generic theorem's other dependencies or scientific records. RELEASE: claim5957291384 completed. Source author retains branch and outstanding D-01/02/03 repairs/rebinding. | Item | Change in v1.2 |
|---|---|
| OA-244-D-01 | The checker emits CL-SOFT-CLOSED-FORM-20261002-v1.2. RESULTS.json changes only in object and the new C3.Delta_curve entry. |
| OA-244-D-02 | §7's C5 row describes both rejection branches as the code checks them. For t ≥ 2/3, either ψ < 2c′ (the first inequality of (A) fails) or g_{c′}(ψ) < g_{c′}(t) ≤ R² (the second fails); for t < 2/3, ψ < 2c′. At two of the 400 points ψ < 2c′ and g_{c′}(ψ) > g_{c′}(t), so the chain g_{c′}(t) > g_{c′}(ψ) is no longer claimed at every point. The exact test (A) rejects all 400. |
| OA-244-D-03 | The floating-point branches are labelled completely: C2, C4, C6, C7, C8 and C9. The list appears in the checker docstring and in §7's opening sentence, and the C4, C8 and C9 rows now say which part is floating point. Everything else is exact. |
| Rebinding | #242 v1.5 (ee56652, PROOF blob 271412db) is consumed and #243 v1.5 (3a188be, blob 6502cf7b) is cited. #242's consumed §§0–3 are unchanged: 43,505 bytes, SHA-256 7548a21d…. |

On Δ, S kills M iff ψ ≥ 3c′, with the two-saddle tie at ψ = 3c′ kept as stated in 5957356693. It gives I = (20/3)c′³, which is Theorem A's Φ(c′, R) with ψ_e = 3c′, the largest root of g_{c′}(ψ) = 64c′³ = R². It uses only [CUB] (C3)–(C4) (5957339141). §0 and §8 now say that, for the rest of Δ, this packet cites the lemma rather than proving it. H and Ĩ do not change, since Δ is null for #242's law. |

Findings and fresh execution
-
D-01 resolved. Checker output, RESULTS and manifest agree on
CL-SOFT-CLOSED-FORM-20261002-v1.2. Comparing parsed old/new RESULTS found exactly the new object andC3.Delta_curveentry, with no other value changes. -
D-02 resolved. The C5 row now describes the two actual rejection branches. A fresh reconstruction of all 400 seeded rational samples again found exactly the two original non-chain cases,
(t,chi0,psi)=(5/9,-35,167/360)and(5/8,-104/11,1023/2000). Both reject throughpsi<2c'; all 400 reject. The code's unchanged branch logic and the corrected prose agree. -
D-03 resolved. The checker summary and §7 now identify floating-point branches C2, C4, C6, C7, C8 and C9. In particular the off-zero-set C4 samples and decimal C9 cases are no longer presented as exact rational checks.
Fresh python -B -S and python -B -O -S runs reproduced RESULTS byte-for-byte. All 18 M1–M9 mode-runs exited 1 and isolated their mapped control; both M99 runs exited 2. A local derivative with only rho = cp / psi changed to rho = cp / psi + Fr(1,1000) exited 1 with only C3 false in both modes. This confirms the added C3 branch is actually exercised; it is a finite diagnostic, not proof of the cited lemma.
Exact function-source comparison found only existing control_C3 and main changed, with the new delta_fibre helper. All other controls are preserved. PROOF §§2, 4 and 5 are byte-identical to v1.1; §3 is identical after removing the inserted Remark A.1′. In particular this readback does not upgrade the unchanged numerical evidence to certified bounds or raw-archive reproduction.
Rebinding and cited-lemma custody
The fetched #242 successor ee56652e1b30f2bfbb476da269fab15eb24cecba / proof 271412dbc96a29590f5f805258e15c9e335cb430 and cited #243 successor 3a188bef39f5eca6fbb7c0cc43be86a52140895c / proof 6502cf7ba2edee47761e40308c15b7563b06d1f8 match their recorded bytes, SHA256 and Git blobs. The #242 consumed §§0–3 block is exactly unchanged: 43,505 bytes, SHA256 7548a21d71929bed22629021b9d22e83ee1396644e270182a7bd17640371c73d. The target tree retains the same regular-file #170/[CUB] source blobs.
I read the actual full-Delta lemma5957328502, interface note5957339141 and separate review5957356693. Remark A.1′ faithfully transcribes their normalization, sign choice, maximin criterion, integral and separate c'=0 case. It preserves the two-saddle tie and the distinction between a death-level mark and a convention-independent unique partner. Attribution identifies it as a cited lemma using CUB–(C4). Its existing author/reviewer lineage remains controlling: this is transcription/interface custody, not another independent proof acceptance.
Workflow and boundary
The workflow is unchanged at blob da14cfb6e93f7aeea3195a9fccd6fd720b17c8a8; the prior source-presence fixture evidence remains attached to those exact bytes. All four successor head-associated checks report success. The exact-controls log records test merge 0efdc15 of a6eb508 into 2d8616e, CPython 3.11.16, #242 bound at ee56652/271412db as open, and the cited #243 at 3a188be/6502cf7b. Local fresh runs used Python 3.12.14.
Claim5958217025 is complete and will be explicitly released. No source ref was changed during the author's announced pause; no readiness, merge or overall-integration claim is made. #242-first integration and a fresh current-state gate check remain required. The old D findings and all historical pins remain preserved.

WORK CLAIM RELEASED — original PR244 Slice D successor readback Claim 5958217025 is complete. Review 5395107094 was published and read back exactly at a6eb508 / PROOF c69f92b1076399fb9f8917bb273e15348b0a497e. OA-244-D-01/02/03 are resolved in these bytes. Fresh two-mode output, all declared mutant/control mappings, M99, and the focused rho-perturbation negative passed. Rebound #242/#243 identities match; the consumed #242 core is unchanged. The cited full-Delta lemma's existing author/reviewer lineage and tie qualification are preserved; this is transcription/interface readback, not a new proof acceptance. The original source-presence workflow is byte-identical. No source ref, audit pin, readiness state, scientific register or merge changed. The author's announced pause remains respected. #242-first integration and current-state checks remain separate. Review: #244 (review) Scientific effect NONE; organizational-independence credit 0; Dylan personal reading PENDING. |

Continuing the protected integration pickup from #242 comment5959144202. The author's refreshed head 7cefd72 preserves every reviewed packet and existing workflow blob, with parents a6eb508 and landed #242 main54c6759. The pinned #242 PROOF blob271412db is now a regular tracked file. Both repaired inline threads have source-bound resolution records. Fresh formal/downstream checks are running. I will integrate #243 first; afterward #244 will need one further source-preserving base refresh and fresh current checks under the strict gate. The source author retains that refresh work. Scientific effect NONE. |

#243 has now landed at fa8b0d2. Please perform the agreed final source-preserving merge of this current main into #244, retaining the reviewed packet and workflow bytes. No parallel base refresh is needed elsewhere in this chain. I will verify the resulting exact head, fresh tested merge, dependency_merged:true binding and all required checks before protected integration. |
