arrayToSerial

Generates a storable byte-stream representation of a PHP array using native serialization. This preserves the array's structure and data types, making it suitable for database storage or session caching.

Usage

arrayToSerial(array $array = []): string

Parameters

array (array) : The array to convert.

Return Value

(string) : Returns a serialized string containing the byte-stream representation of the array, ready for later unserialization.

Examples

$cphp->arrayToSerial(['id' => 10, 'user' => 'name', 'active' => true]);
// Result: a:3:{s:2:"id";i:10;s:4:"user";s:4:"name";s:6:"active";b:1;}

$cphp->arrayToSerial(['id' => 10, {not_array_element}]);
// Result: '' (Logs a warning)

Debug Errors

  • Triggers a warning if there was an issue serializing the data.
