v26.8.0 is broken upstream and update v26.8.1 with a fix is not merged

Issue

Hi folks, v26.8.0 shipped with alpha designation breaking downstreams severely, see

• issue Node v26.8.0 reporting version as alpha nodejs/node#65566
• fix src: revert accidental alpha designation nodejs/node#65568
• merging nodejs v26.8.1 #500 should help; I am not sure if yanking v26.8.0 is warranted but it does fail dowsntreams right now because version checks fail, as alpha versions do not match range comparators for stable versions per npm semantics
