• autoplot() expecting .response in predictions argument

• step_lag_difference()/step_growth_rate() use left_join` and cannot populate the synthetic forecast rows created by lag/ahead steps — empty predictions when all lags > 0

• step_climate()` aggregates the season containing each training row's target week — in-sample contamination in backtests

cmu-delphi/epipredict#514 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• pad_to_end()` (locf bake) crashes with an uninformative error when a selected column is all NA

• epi_recipe(reference_date =)` is stored but never consumed by any date machinery

cmu-delphi/epipredict#512 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• check_interminable_latency() only fires for method = "locf"; extend_ahead/extend_lags` never warn (and their tests expect it)

cmu-delphi/epipredict#511 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• Predict-time latency drift is never checked for proper epi_df inputs (the comparison runs only on the odd path)

cmu-delphi/epipredict#510 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• layer_residual_quantiles()` description recommends *itself* for distributional models

cmu-delphi/epipredict#509 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• R-CMD-check and pkgdown workflows run arbitrary code without a minimal permissions:` block

cmu-delphi/epipredict#508 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• Third-party GitHub Actions pinned by mutable tags, not commit SHAs; no dependabot config (plus checkout version drift in pr-commands)

cmu-delphi/epipredict#507 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• Scalar fixed_latency is recomputed from the data per column; the overwrite is a dead self-assignment

cmu-delphi/epipredict#506 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• Unpinned Remotes dependencies — including a personal-account fork — at floating HEAD, with a live API key in the CI check environment

cmu-delphi/epipredict#505 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• flatline_forecaster()/cdc_baseline_forecaster() silently use data beyond a user-supplied earlier forecast_date`; the three args constructors disagree on the same condition

cmu-delphi/epipredict#504 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• flusight_hub_formatter(): silent NA locations for unknown geos, unhandled charmatch` sentinel, and fractional horizons

cmu-delphi/epipredict#503 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• grab_residuals() fallback warnings reference an undefined variable cl` and crash instead of warning

cmu-delphi/epipredict#502 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• layer_naomit() keeps rows where only *some* selected columns are NA (if_any`), contradicting na.omit semantics

• Extrapolating at probability 0 or 1 yields ±Inf (or NaN) quantile values, and NaN WIS scores

cmu-delphi/epipredict#500 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• layer_cdc_flatline_quantiles(symmetrize = TRUE)`: the median recentering is output-only; the doc says it propagates forward into the next ahead

• step_epi_ahead(prefix = "lag_")` silently inverts the shift, training on past values as outcomes

cmu-delphi/epipredict#498 · Filter by author docxology opened on Sep 16, 2026

• step_growth_rate(replace_Inf =)` does not cover NaN (0/0 relative change), silently defeating the documented "keep rows" usage

• get_test_data()`: global complete-case anchor silently drops lagging keys and can desynchronize the forecast date stamp
