Compose books and course documents with an unofficial UMONS visual theme for Bookly.
Important
bookly-umons is an independent community project. It is not an official
UMONS template and is not published or maintained by the University of Mons.
No UMONS logo is distributed with this package. The title-page API accepts user-provided content for optional logos; users are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to use the assets they provide.
Once the package is available on Typst Universe:
typst init @preview/bookly-umons:0.1.0To use the theme in an existing document:
#import "@preview/bookly:4.1.3": bookly
#import "@preview/bookly-umons:0.1.0": *
#show: bookly.with(
title: "My course",
author: "Author",
fonts: fonts,
theme: theme,
colors: colors,
title-page: title-page(
title: "MY COURSE",
authors: "Author",
year_str: "2026-2027",
),
)
= First chapter
#box-definition[
A definition styled with the UMONS-inspired theme.
]Pass an authorized logo as content when needed; the package does not load or bundle one:
title-page(
title: "MY COURSE",
top_logo: image("my-authorized-logo.svg"),
)See examples/minimal.typ for a complete local example.
Compile it from the repository root with:
typst compile --root . examples/minimal.typ /tmp/bookly-umons-minimal.pdfVersion 0.1.0 targets Bookly 4.1.3. The public entry point exports the theme,
colors, typography defaults, title page, tables, boxes, and visual helpers. It
does not export the separate exercise or slide systems.
The historical local umons.typ entry point is not part of this repository.
Existing documents that use it can continue to do so while migrating at their
own pace.
