Epson XP-345 doesn't seem to be recognised #75

My 20 year old Epson XP-345 doesn't seem to be recognised, probably to old for AirPrint? Discover finds it's IP but that's about it.

Query in Mintprint doesn't produce anything in the log and all I get is "Scan failed - please try query again"
Running the py script in windows only gives me this:

Thanks for testing 1.3.0 — that confirms the first compatibility fix did not reach the actual failure.
I have opened PR #90 with a more useful diagnostic probe. It keeps the normal probe unchanged, but adds a read-only

Replace
PRINTER-IPwith the printer's address and attach the complete output. Thanks for this update.
The printer is refusing HTTP connections
On your printer could you do this
Open Epson Web Config and look under the IPP/protocol settings for Allow Non-secure Communication. Epson documents that exact option: enabling it permits ordinary unencrypted IPP.
This should fix MintPRINT to work with it.
For a future version I could add AmiSSL in to it - to support HTTPS printers like this Epson directly.

And Mintprint found the printer now,
One thing though, making a test print sends the page to my Brother which is set as 0 while under the Epson which is set as 1.

So yeah this is a usability bug - the test print only goes off the active unit - so pressing activate on unit 1, would then make the test print come out.
should be fixed in #98 - Will test tonight

Right, forgot about that.
Though, doing that now I only get a message: "could not copy unit1 to unit0" so testprint comes to the other printer anyway.

Yes, works now. Thanks. I got two pages out of the Epson though. Not sure what is on the second since the ink is very weak.
When I have time I'm gonna take the printer apart to see if I can clean the printhead properly since the internal cleaning doesn't quite work.
