I am new to Github, so forgive me if this is the wrong place for this query (and direct on me on where to go), but I recently downloaded occurence data for Acer saccharum from BIEN and noticed a large gap around Kentucky except for a few points. I am wondering why there is a large gap of Kentucky data and how I might be able to acquire this data. I noticed that even GBIF also has a massive amount of missing data in Kentucky as well. Please help me understand if this is a real gap in recorded observations or if there is an issue with the data file.
