It'd be a good idea to add the library to NPM and remove jQuery as #6 proposes

Although I'm not sure if this repository is still alive @arbelh
If not I could add it to NPM myself and proceed with jQuery removal

The repository is alive!
Thanks for the suggestions. The removal of jQuery dependency and addition to NPM are works in progress and I'll provide an update once done.
