Potential fix for https://github.com/anikitenko/fdo/security/code-scanning/10
To fix this safely without changing behavior, ensure shell-safe quoting when reconstructing
endpoint.commandinhelperTarget(insrc/utils/hostServices/gitInvocation.cjs). The best minimal fix is to escape single quotes insiderepobefore embedding it in single quotes (POSIX-safe pattern:'→'"'"'). That preserves current command format and compatibility while preventing quote-breaking injection.Concretely:
helperTargetnear the return object.quotedRepo = repo.replace(/'/g,'"'"')).commandwith that escaped value instead of rawrepo. No changes are required in
gitTransport.cjs; it can continue executingendpoint.commandbecause the dangerous interpolation point is ingitInvocation.cjs.Suggested fixes powered by Copilot Autofix. Review carefully before merging.
