Coursewave is a full-stack Learning Management System (LMS) built with Next.js (frontend), Node.js/Express (backend), Supabase + Prisma (database & auth), and integrated services like Stripe and SendGrid.

The platform supports students, instructors, and admins with modules like user management, content management, subscriptions, and payments.

🖥️ Getting Started

1. Clone the repo

git clone https://github.com/your-username/coursewave.git
cd coursewave

2. Setup Environment

Create a .env file in both backend/ and frontend/ with:

DATABASE_URL=your_supabase_postgres_url
SUPABASE_URL=your_supabase_project_url
SUPABASE_KEY=your_supabase_service_role_key
STRIPE_SECRET_KEY=your_stripe_secret
SENDGRID_API_KEY=your_sendgrid_api_key
JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret

3. Install dependencies

cd backend && npm install
cd ../frontend && npm install

4. Run the development servers Backend (Node.js + Express):

cd backend
npm run build && npm run start

Frontend (Next.js):

cd frontend
npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 for frontend.

Backend will run at http://localhost:5000 (or your configured port).
