The layer between a coding agent and something you can actually ship — the runtime underneath it, the protocol it streams over, the surface people click on. That's the part I work on.
I'm a core maintainer of Open Design at @nexu-io — a local-first desktop app that turns a coding agent into a design engine. I've been there since the repo's first week, and I own three of its layers:
- Runtime & protocol — the sidecar and the streaming protocol it speaks, the desktop app it drives, and the CLI packaging that ships them.
- Multimodal — the image and video generation pipeline, provider routing, and making a failed generation say why instead of failing silently.
- Commercialization — accounts, wallet and billing, subscription and pricing flows, onboarding.
My merged PRs there, and a fair amount of reviewing other people's.
The same three threads run through the day job, mostly in private repos: another runtime and protocol, a multi-tenant AI workspace, and the platform underneath both.
Also shipping releases of pi-lens, my fork of apmantza/pi-lens, and pi-image-view, forked from RielJ/pi-image-preview — both in the Pi agent ecosystem.
