Add aisimulate predict --export-html, which automatically captures telemetry and writes a standalone, offline report.html beside the native outputs. --capture-telemetry alone writes telemetry without HTML; using both flags is equivalent to --export-html.
Include profiling and optional warmup charts for request latency, interactivity, throughput, queues, cache usage, and prompt sources. The searchable conversation/worker timeline uses thin intervals and horizontal scrolling within the admission window.
Expose Python helpers to render captured reports or saved telemetry without replaying the workload. Embed the Plotly runtime, data, and license; no network access is needed.
Preserve native replay metrics and outputs. Rendering failures return exit code 1, identify saved artifacts, and retain warmup-abort diagnostics. Publish HTML atomically with normal umask permissions and clean stale reports on overwrite.
Compute in-flight series and completion-accounted throughput once per phase, then reuse them on redraw. Preserve missing values and native interval boundaries.
Build on merged telemetry prerequisite #662; this PR targets main and contains only HTML export and its integration.
Preview
Populated agentic quickstart example showing simulated profiling metrics: request distributions, interactivity, TTFT, cache utilization, and queue depth.
Review map
Risk: medium. Start with replay/dashboard.py for telemetry validation and publication, replay/dashboard.html for chart semantics, and main.py/supervision.py for CLI integration.
Public contract: --export-html and Python rendering helpers. Existing telemetry schema, prediction summaries, and profiling-only per-request output behavior remain unchanged.
Unsupported telemetry modes fail before output cleanup. HTML failures retain completed native artifacts. The HTML template and third-party license are packaged in Python distributions.
Validation
Final head: 01f590652c30097e7daca21b30ed2488704acdd0; Full CI passed all 56 jobs on this exact commit. GitHub verifies its GPG signature and DCO sign-off.
PYTHONPATH=python/aisimulate/src python/aisimulate/.venv/bin/python -m pytest -c pytest.ini -p no:timeout tests/test_unified_cli.py -q: 250 passed. Includes native HTML on/off parity, overwrite cleanup, invalid input, and rendering failures after successful/aborted replay.
node tests/browser/replay_dashboard.cjs /tmp/pr663-completion-counter/report.html /tmp/pr663-completion-counter/browser with the local Playwright module path and Chrome executable: 22 passed, with no browser errors or external requests. The input combines the current template with preserved quickstart telemetry; no simulation or GPU rerun was needed.
Browser checks cover phase/metric controls, offline use, mobile layout, timeline details, exact interval boundaries, missing lengths, completion-token conservation, and cached redraws. Completion aggregation over 100,000 requests and 3,600 samples took 10.8 ms locally and read each request once.
Ruff lint/format checks passed for changed Python files; JavaScript syntax and git diff --check passed. python/aisimulate/.venv/bin/python scripts/ci/check_documentation_links.py passed across 82 Markdown files.
Metric semantics and limits
Charts use native simulated measurements. No silicon accuracy scores, server logs, power curves, GPU runs, or timing-model changes.
System gauges and rates use trailing 50-second windows; partial counter intervals assume uniform activity. Request percentiles use a 50-request window, and interactivity inverts the selected TPOT percentile.
Missing measurements remain unavailable. Terminal-record charts explicitly identify their cohort; native gauges and capture status disclose unfinished requests. Warmup appears only when enabled preparation telemetry exists.
Risk level: Medium–high. The three areas that need the most human attention are: (1) dashboard calculations and timeline behavior in the large HTML/JavaScript template; (2) telemetry validation, output cleanup, and artifact preservation across the CLI and renderer; and (3) packaging and public Python rendering APIs.
Changed behavior and contracts
predict --export-html enables telemetry capture and writes report.html. Both HTML export and telemetry capture require offline --stack engine.
build_replay_dashboard_data, write_replay_dashboard, and render_replay_dashboard provide public helpers to adapt native telemetry, write a standalone report, and regenerate one from saved artifacts. The renderer validates native telemetry schema, clock, units, phases, and artifact counts.
The dashboard provides profiling and optional warmup views, request timelines, and telemetry charts. Missing measurements remain unavailable.
Dashboard publication uses a temporary file and replacement. Rendering failures reported by the CLI preserve previously written native outputs.
Packaging includes the dashboard template and Plotly.js license. Documentation and ownership rules cover the feature and tests.
Evidence supplied
Source inspection confirms that HTML export enables telemetry capture, invokes the renderer after native outputs are written, and participates in supervision eligibility checks.
Tests cover CLI export, overwrite behavior, native-output preservation after rendering failures, artifact regeneration and validation, and renderer publication safety. Browser test coverage is described in the supplied change summary; browser checks were not independently run.
The PR description reports 25 renderer/native tests, 20 browser checks, and CI success after retries. These results are author-reported and were not independently verified here.
Technical quality: The inspected implementation and test assertions cover important validation, publication, and output-preservation contracts. The dashboard calculations and browser behavior remain substantial areas for human review. Current review findings and severity counts were not supplied.
Merge readiness: Not established. No current CI status or review approval was supplied. Bot review is not approval.
The predict CLI can capture native replay telemetry and export it as a standalone HTML dashboard. Python helpers can render dashboards from existing replay artifacts. The dashboard validates and displays telemetry data, and tests and documentation cover export behavior, dashboard content, and supported telemetry.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "feat: export simulation replay dashboards" names the main behavioral change: the new export of replay dashboards. The changeset adds aisimulate predict --export-html, which writes a standalone report.html, plus Python rendering helpers. The title states the change precisely and does not use a vague term such as update, cleanup, or fixes.
Full details: Cross-Layer Contract
Explanation
No stale cross-layer contract was found. --export-html is declared in cli_args.py:58-74, validated before overwrite in supervision.py:431-442, propagated as capture_telemetry through main.py:162-205, and rendered after native output persistence in main.py:240-268. The existing Rust telemetry schema and serializer provide the fields consumed by replay/dashboard.py; Python writes the manifest and JSONL artifacts in output.py:94-120. The HTML and license assets are included in the Maturin package in pyproject.toml:125-127. Documentation covers the CLI, output contract, and Python helpers. Tests cover schema normalization, native vLLM/SGLang aggregated and disaggregated paths, warmup modes, artifact regeneration, CLI export and overwrite behavior, supervision rejection, rendering failures, and browser behavior in tests/test_replay_dashboard.py, tests/test_unified_cli.py, tests/test_resource_supervision.py, and tests/browser/replay_dashboard.cjs.
Full details: Modeling And Data Evidence
Explanation
The PR supplies reproducible evidence for its formulas, selection logic, and performance claims. docs/getting-started/understand-results.md:162-191 maps each dashboard view to native telemetry fields and explains missing-value semantics. It also documents the smoothing, cohort, boundary, and event-sweep rules at lines 259-276. tests/browser/replay_dashboard.cjs:56-108 provides independent reference implementations, and lines 280-367 and 416-480 compare dashboard results against those references across boundaries, gaps, overlaps, and missing values. The same harness performs anomaly checks for finite chart data and network isolation at lines 210-233, writes machine-readable performance summaries at lines 369-413 and 484-539, and fails the process for any failed check at lines 1330-1335. This is not binary-only validation and does not contain an unexplained refresh.
Full details: Compatibility Boundaries
Explanation
No compatibility boundary failure is introduced. The PR adds the dashboard only to the existing AISimulate Python package and does not change Rust bindings, crate APIs, or version declarations. python/aisimulate/pyproject.toml:114-127 still builds the single wheel from crates/core and explicitly includes both dashboard assets; pyproject.toml:5-7, Cargo.toml:11-14, and crates/core/Cargo.toml:4-8 remain version-aligned at 0.13.0. The dashboard validates the native telemetry schema and units at python/aisimulate/src/aisimulate/replay/dashboard.py:229-240, which match the producer contract in crates/core/src/replay/telemetry.rs:189-214,249-267. The CLI forwards the existing ReplayOutputRequirements telemetry fields without changing their defaults. The new dashboard module has no Dynamo or AIConfigurator imports. The linked Dynamo consumer continues to use the existing ReplayOutputRequirements to construct TelemetryOptions at commit 6bcaabcb39cbf98ef048a6ef3145825b18118f3e, components/src/dynamo/replay/simulation.py:145-189; no dashboard-specific dependency is required.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description clearly explains the behavior change, review risks, public contracts, validation results, boundary cases, and metric semantics. It does not use every template heading and omits explicit Tracking, Fast CI, CodeRabbit/Codex review entries, and a separate modeling or data provenance section, but the required information is mostly present.
Full details: Review Evidence
Explanation
The visible PR description reports many results and boundary checks, but the description is explicitly truncated. The missing portion may contain the exact commands and the required local, fake-runner, parity, and production evidence distinctions. The repository confirms that workflows under python/aisimulate/.github/ are migration history and do not run for this repository (docs/ci/README.md:23-25), while this PR changes no workflow files. The available text cites a hosted Actions run but does not identify which workflow set produced it, so it cannot establish the nested-workflow failure condition.
Resolution
Provide the complete PR description, or confirm the omitted evidence. It must name the relevant commands and results, classify local/fake-runner/parity/production evidence, and identify the cited Actions run as root .github/workflows/ CI rather than inactive python/aisimulate/.github/workflows/ workflows.

Dynamo pins both aisimulate and aisimulate-core to the exact development version 0.13.0.dev202610290000000087; the dashboard-enabled AISimulate artifact must remain compatible with this pin. [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::pyproject.toml:15-18] [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::Cargo.toml:63-67]
Dynamo registers DynamoReplayRunnerFactory as an AISimulate runner entry point and forwards telemetry capture options into replay calls. [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::pyproject.toml:123-128] [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::components/src/dynamo/replay/simulation.py:159-169]
The native telemetry contract uses JSONL/callback samples with synchronized streams and fields including traffic, scheduler metrics, router queues, active IDs, and lifecycle IDs. The dashboard’s telemetry validation should preserve compatibility with this shape. [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::lib/bindings/python/tests/replay/test_replay_telemetry.py:91-120]
Telemetry sampling is based on simulated time, and JSONL writes/callbacks are synchronous. Dashboard export should not alter these timing or persistence semantics. [::ai-dynamo/dynamo::lib/bindings/python/src/dynamo/_core.pyi:2491-2502]
ai-dynamo/aiconfigurator
Aiconfigurator’s migration guide directs Sweeper users to AISimulate and identifies AISimulate as the active owner; no dashboard integration is defined here. [::ai-dynamo/aiconfigurator::docs/aisimulate_migration.md:48-67]
Its ForwardPassMetrics v1 type is a separate Dynamo scheduler telemetry schema, distinct from the native replay telemetry stream used by the dashboard. [::ai-dynamo/aiconfigurator::aic-core/rust/aiconfigurator-core/src/fpm/metrics.rs:4-23]
Native replay records cannot have an incomplete terminal status.
ReplayTerminalStatus has no Incomplete variant, and PerRequestRecord.terminal_time_ms is a required finite f64. The template branches for an incomplete request without a terminal time are unreachable for native replay artifacts and do not cause --export-html to fail.
