Cursor: the blocking prompt hook runs a full recall whose result is always thrown away #175

Open

Description

@aayank13

Cursor's beforeSubmitPrompt can't add context, so prompt recall is never shown, but the hook still runs the full recall (including the semantic search when embeddings are installed) before finding that out. Cursor waits for this hook before sending the prompt, so the user pays the recall's latency for nothing.

Applies to the agent support in #149.

Fix idea: ask the agent whether it can show a recall at this moment before recalling, or journal the prompt without triggering recall.
