Summary

  • Adds a db-snapshot skill that wraps backend/scripts/DB/snapshot_dump.py to take an on-demand MongoDB snapshot (player_bios/player_stats/fetch_log), per CLAUDE.md's "always snapshot before a new feature" rule.
  • Corrects the documented output path after testing: snapshots land in backend/scripts/snapshots/ (relative to the script's own location), not backend/snapshots/.

Test plan

  • Ran the skill end-to-end: docker compose ps check, then snapshot_dump.py skill-test.json against the running dev stack — dumped 1731 player_bios / 1731 player_stats / 0 fetch_log docs.
  • Verified output path is covered by .gitignore (backend/scripts/*) via git check-ignore.
  • Cleaned up the test snapshot file before opening this PR.

Wraps backend/scripts/DB/snapshot_dump.py so a DB snapshot can be
taken on request or before starting a new feature, per CLAUDE.md.
Verified by running the skill: snapshot_dump.py resolves its output
dir relative to its own location (scripts/DB/../snapshots), so files
land in backend/scripts/snapshots/, not backend/snapshots/ as
initially documented. Still gitignored via the blanket
backend/scripts/* rule.
[docs-sync]

snapshot_dump.py resolves its output dir relative to its own location
(scripts/DB/../snapshots), writing to backend/scripts/snapshots/, not
backend/snapshots/ as previously documented. Also point to the new
db-snapshot Claude Code skill that wraps these scripts.
